Dr. Urmil Raghudeo Shukla, MD

I understand being a Dr is great because you've earned being your own boss but I had to wait for 2 weeks to schedule my surgery because he was out of town. Post op appointment was supposed to be 10 days later ...low and behold he's out of town, so my post op appt is 3 weeks later. Luckily, the office released me to go back to work without requiring the follow up bc if not then I would've been out of work for a month! And because out health system is the way it is, your original Dr. Is the only one who can see you and release you. Not to mention he's not a big talker. I paid $30 for a nurse to answer my questions and concerns. The day of surgery he came in for 2 minutes to sign paperwork and to confirm what is being done. Again the nurses and anesthesia Dr explained everything that was going to be and what to expect pre and post op. If it was for the fact that I would've have to do all my exams again to go see another surgeon I would've definitely avoided this Dr.

When a person hurtsbit makes a difference when a professional Physician listens.

Could not have asked for a better doctor to care for my husband. When previous doctors could not diagnos, Dr. Shukla did not hesitate to perform needed tests to evaluate and diagnos his illness and to follow thru with the necessary procedures that I know if left undone, would have ended in the removal of his entire colon or worse, a diagnosis of late stage cancer. A doctor that is very down to earth and still cares about his patients. You don't find those everyday.

Dr. Shukla did a colonscopy on me and I did not even see him at the hospital before or after my procedure. Also, waited for a refund from his office for over a month and a half.Very disappointed

Dr. Shukla is just the greatest. When my husband was in the hospital during a holiday weekend, he took the time to come and treat him. He could have waited until the next working day, but he didn't. I have never known a surgeon who was so caring and devoted to his profession. We owe him a multitude of thanks.

Excellent physician. Is friendly, caringand listens. Is well liked by the community. He has done several of my day surgeries and I have had no problems.

Dr Shukla is the consummate professional. He has a lovely, caring manner and inspires confidence. I was so relaxed before the colonoscopy that I apparently did not require a lot of anesthesia and I was up and about within a few hours feeling great. Everyone here uses him.
