Dr. Ursula Vanessa Roeder, MD

Dr. Reeder is one of the most caring surgeons I have ever met. My experience with her was top notch. Being diagnosed with breast cancer comes with a lot of stress and fear. Dr. Roeder answered all my questions and concerns and explained everything in such a genuine caring way. I have had bad experiences with doctors judging me and being almost annoyed that I didn’t understand what they had said. Dr. Roeder did not ever make me feel uncomfortable in the slightest way. Dr. Reeder saved my life and my children and husband and I are extremely grateful she went in and did what she had to do to get me well. I trust Dr. Roeder and would refer her to anyone who needed a good surgeon.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer and Dr. Roeder was recommended to me by two friends of mine who are also doctors and thought highly of her. The first time I called to get an appointment I was told she was on vacation and I had to wait 2 weeks. I was disappointed but decided to wait since she was highly recommended. During that wait I had several difficulties with her staff in obtaining my records, etc. Three days before my appointment her office called to postpone my appointment for another two weeks stating she had scheduling problems. Again I was very disappointed and under much stress by this point. The appointment was moved out another two weeks and then two days before this appointment her office again called to cancel it and told me that now she had "charting problems". They made it clear that this cancelling may continue but would give no good explanation for it. I finally gave up but must say I am extremely disappointed by the service from her office. She may be a… very good surgeon and kind person but to do this to someone with newly diagnosed cancer is unkind. I waited 5 long weeks and now have to start all over again to search for another surgeon.

Dr Roeder was the most knowledgeable, compassionate and manually skilled of surgeons. I was referred to her by my PC and am very grateful for the referral. With a diagnosis of “cancer” I was taken aback yet her explanations of procedures, tests, results and expectations put me at ease and helped in my understanding and increased my knowledge on my disease. She supported me in becoming an advocate for myself and demystifying cancer. Thank you Dr Roeder.

Fantastic surgeon. Answers all your questions and is very helpful in decision making. Spends a good amount of time with you and don't feel hurried or pushed. Follows up to make sure you are doing okay after release from hospital and explanations are thorough and understandable (laymens language). Very comfortable with her. Would recommend her to anyone!

Wow, impressive. Ursula Vanessa Roeder M.D. is a general surgeon. She did a surgery for me at St. Joe's and I was impressed - she seems the happy surgeon. To me she is a calming presence. Dr. Roeder came in pre-op, held my hands, giggled with me and she knew I was afraid. In recovery she came to see me, including post-op/follow-up appointment in her office she held my hands, giggled and hugged me! She processes a considerable amount surgeries, so she's no beginner. She does many gallbladder removals, and works side-by-side with a plastic surgeon for breast cancer. I recommend her, especially if you're looking for a 'girl' doctor. Thanks Doctor Roeder!

This is my first time meeting Dr Roeder and I was blown away by how amazing my experience was with her and her staff! Her scheduler is soo nice and really works with your schedule. She even got me into get a surgery with Dr Roeder very quickly, which was a pleasant surprise. Her front desk is also very nice, she made me feel very welcome and even asked how everything went after my appointment. Her nurse, Mary, is very caring, nice, knowledgable and very easy to talk to. And the Dr is by far one of the most pleasant, caring, nice, knowledgable, friendly (did I mention CARING) Dr's I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. I am always very nervous and tend to "clam up" when I go in for dr appts. and sometimes it takes me a very long time to open up to a dr or feel comfortable with a dr. But as soon as she walked in and spoke to me I immediatley felt at ease and felt very comfortable talking with the dr. She is just soo nice and makes you as a patient feel very cared for. I will recommend… every body to Dr Roeder for as long as I live!
