Dr. Urvashi Bhagat, MD

We saw her for my 13 year old daughter who was suffering panic attacks. It took 1 month to get a first sppointment, which she cancelled and rescheduled for the next week. She only works M-Th and does not have an answering service, nor does she check her messages, nor does she return your call.

Dr Bhagat is a very good Doctor! She listens and cares.

Dr Bhagat is a wonderful Doctor! She Always listens and calls me if I need to tell her how I feel on my meds.

I had a very positive experience with Dr. Bhagat. I have seen multiple psychiatrists and believe she was the best one for me. The receptionist was kind and helpful as well. Dr. Bhagat listened to everything I had to say and was worried about all of my other health problems too. She diagnosed me in a timely manner and prescribed medications that helped. She spent the full half hour with me and I only waited about 5 minutes in the waiting room. The first appointment was harder to schedule because she is a busy doctor but all of the other appointments were flexible times and easy to schedule.

Dr. Bhagat is one of the worst doctors I have ever been in contact with. This office is money hungry, and I would avoid at all costs. The receptionist Hazel is extremely rude and it is difficult to make an appointment, seeing as they are only open three days a week. Dr. Bhagat is very impersonal and only cares about the check she is receiving. I missed one appointment, and instead of getting a concerned phone call, I received a letter in the mail for $55. Dr. Bhagat will not speak directly on the phone with you and is sheepish and anti social herself. The appointments last 10-15 minutes at the longest and she suggests you see a psychologist in addition to her. If you need a prescription you are required to pay $50 up front for a months worth. Dr. Bhagat also suggests that you see your family doctor when she is not available. If she is suggesting all these other doctors why am I even seeing her? If I could give negative stars I would. Do yourself a favor and see a doctor who actually… cares about their patients instead of their wallet.

People. Read the reviews And pay attention. I read the reviews And did not believe all the bad reviews. I regretted it. Like it was said before if I could give this service a negative 5 I would do it. The "office manager" as the receptionist calls herself is the meanestâ?? rude and nasty individual I have ever met. They are hungry for money that is for sure. It shows. They refused to provide service to my son because I did not have the payment at front. Even though I had over paid in the past. I had credit and health insurance. I had credit cards but they can not take credit card payments. I even called my insurance so they could explained to the receptionist and the doctor that they were getting their payment through my insurance and my savings account because I had it set up like that. In previous visits I had over paid because they forced me to pay them at front and they were getting money from my health savings account. They did not want to listen to the insurance guy at the… phone. The nasty and rude receptionist said that she had nothing to do with financial matters and they refused to provide service to us because I did not have 12 dollars in cash. I moved on. After 3 months and fighting with my insurance and several calls guess what? I was right. They had to refund the money that I had over paid. I guess the doctor is a chippo who has hired the worst receptionist since she does not want to pay a fair salary for a real human being who could provide a good services. The doctor is not stupid she knows that the receptionist is mean and rude but she put up with her because she does not want to pay a fair wage to have a good receptionist. People don't get confused with the good reviews. I am sure the good reviews don't come from clients. Read between lines and run away from this doctor.

If it were possible to give Bhagat negative stars, I would. Rude and nasty don't even begin to describe her or her office staff. My son spends less than 4 minutes with her from the time he leaves the waiting room until the time he walks back. Rather than sending an appointment reminder, today I got a letter closing his case because we missed an appointment. I know of three other patients who have left this practitioner for the same reasons. There are other providers out there who are compassionate and caring - dont be stuck with this person.

The receptionist is extremely rude all of the time. She is nasty from the start when you try to set up an appointment over the phone through your entire visit. It is 2012 and this antiquated office does not except credit cards. You need to bring cash if you are like most modern American and dont carry around your checkbook. The Doctor is OK but she needs to update her accounting and fire her receptionist.

I am a patient of Dr. Bhagat at her location in the Exton Commons. Hazel, who works at the desk, is very sweet and accommodating. I have been going to this office for over a year and have never waited for more than about 5 minutes to see the doctor. My visits with Dr. Bhagat are short yet comprehensive. She asks the important questions and takes extensive notes so that I really don't have to fill her in or remind her of any concerns from previous visits. She is gentle and a kind person and I feel comfortable in her presence. She is also accommodating when it comes to prescriptions and refills especially now that I temporarily have no medical insurance and therefore visit the office less frequently. Dr. Bhagat is understanding, professional, and non-judgmental. I feel encouraged after each visit.

Our son was diagnosed with ADD, my husband and I asked during our apt. if there were any non-medication routes we could take. She answered knowledgeably and truthfully that for best results, no. She did give us a lot of information that would help us achieve the best our son was capable of. I did my research, she was correct. I would not expect my mechanic to repair my car for free, nor would I my Dr. On our sons second visit she asked to see me privately, and suggested I may have add also. I have seen many psychiatrists, she was the first to correctly diagnose me. The others (several) pushed drugs at me constantly to which resulted in organ damage and other permanent side effects. Very dangerous drugs, these other Drs. Switched medications so many times, the list is over 30. I have never been more successful, happy, and comfortable. My son went from Cs and Ds to strictly A's. He also has never been better. Dr.Bhagat is the only therapist my son can speak freely with. She is… patient, kind, and understanding. She is strait forward and sugar coats nothing, and manages this in a caring manner.
