My testings showed that I had Gallstones. My appointment for Outpatient surgery was 11\6\15, was scheduled at 9 am. I arrived before 8 am to check in. I waited until 4 pm, when Dr Waheed attempted to reschedule my surgery until after my financial aide ended.. I was told my Thoracic Back Pain was due to Gallstones after a work injury. . I continued with my 5 hour surgery. In aftercare by 10 pm. I was then admitted to the Meritus Hospital over night. I was not prescribed medications, and had to go to the office the next day for pain prescription. When my Thoracic Back Pain continued, I was told it will take time to heal. I returned to work in tears and with further pain once the prescription was emptied. When I tried to get an appointment, I was rudely told that Dr Waheed no longer works here, and I am no longer a patient. After receiving a letter confirming this, the letter stated that I was transferred to Dr Sach, when I tried to make an appointment, I was denied. I then contacted… Patient Advocacy and got my appointment Oct 2016. As it turns out, and after leaving Meritus Medical for a second opinion, I learned that I have Severe Vascular Stenosis & Multilevel Herniated Discs! I was Misdiagnosed by Meritus Medical multiple times after my Work Injury! My misdiagnosis continues! New MRI results still Not Diagnosed 2017! ! My vascular conditions are blamed on Severe Scar Tissue found! Since being misdiagnosed, I am still in Severe Chronic Pain Daily and Unable to work! Doctor's tell me it is Stenosis & Degenerative disease, but fail to diagnose. Yet, my MRI show much worse! I pulled my medical records, and found that No Gallstones were mentioned in my Gallbladder that was sent to the lab! My records were not shared with my Primary doctor until 3 request made 2017! I want answers & no one will give them to me!

I sat waiting for My Gallbladder Surgery all day. The surgery took several hours. I was then admitted to Hospital. When I continued to have pain, I was denied follow up Visit & left untreated. I continue to suffer in pain in upper right abdominal & sternum. I received letter from Meritus that said he no longer works there & was further denied to see another doctor for over a year! My records were not shared with my doctors, I had to submit several request.

Dr. Waheed was the trauma surgeon on duty the evening I arrived at the Jersey Shore University Medical Center's ER on Labor Day complaining of abdominal pains that had started 12 hours prior. After an ambiguous CAT scan reading by an outsourced company, he correctly diagnosed a closed loop in my small intestine. Within hours I was being prepped for surgery; an exploratory followed by a small bowel resection. 6-days later I am home recovering.As an inpatient, Dr. Waheed or a member of the surgical team would visit with me monitoring my progress. He is easy to speak with, answers all questions, and makes you feel comfortable and confident in his abilities and knowledge.
