There are not enough words to express the gratitude I feel for Dr. Vaagn Andikyan at The cancer center at Tampa General Hospital.I came to Dr.andikiyan during one of the most frightening moments of my life, not knowing that I was facing ovarian cancer. Dr. Andikyan didn’t dismiss my symptoms or rush through my care. He listened carefully, took my concerns seriously, and made sure I received the attention and testing I needed. Because of his expertise, intuition, and determination to find answers, my cancer was discovered — and that truly saved my life. In a moment filled with fear and uncertainty, he showed not only incredible medical skill, but also compassion and humanity. He treated me with kindness, respect, and reassurance when I needed it most. I will never forget the care he gave me during such a vulnerable time.Doctors like Dr. Andikyan are rare. His dedication to his patients and commitment to doing the right thing made all the difference for me and my family. I will carry a… lifetime of gratitude for him and the care I received at Tampa General Hospital. Thank you for saving my life. I will never forget it.

Very knowledgeable and professional. He truly cares about his patients. I had a total hysterectomy and I am recovering quickly. He’s an excellent surgeon and I highly recommend him.

Had Ovarian Cancer. Dr. Andikyan was wonderful. Performed surgery with great recovery. He is very compassionate, has empathy for his patient's and their families and is very knowledgable about his specialty. I would highly recommend him to anyone facing cancer. He is great at relieving ones fears as well.

If there was more than 5 stars I would give Dr Andikyan 100 stars. I cannot recommend him and his team more. I am a 35 year old breast cancer survivor & they found a suspicious spot on one of my ovaries. My stress and anxiety was thru the roof. He was very validating & took the steps to help me feel calm. Whatever he did during the surgery was amazing because I was only in a lot of pain for about 24 hours after and mostly was due to the gas. My recovery has been really smooth & his team was available and quick to respond if I had any concerns. I am also a Jehovah’s witnesses and I do not accept blood transfusions. Dr Andikyan and his team were knowledgeable on bloodless medicine & respectful. Seriously, go with him & his team if you find yourself in this predicament.

I was referred to Dr. Andikyan after it was discovered I had a pelvic mass. After my first appt. it was determined that I needed a total hysterectomy, and things moved along quickly and professionally. Dr. Andikyan and his team are kind and compassionate and were available to answer all my questions and help me every step of the way. Pre-op testing went smoothly and Tampa General Hospital staff provided me with excellent care on the day of surgery. While Dr. Andikyan described my surgery as complicated, the mass was determined to be benign. I had absolutely no pain, and I am recovering nicely. I am grateful for the wonderful outcome and I highly recommend Dr. Andikyan and his team.

I really like Dr. Andikyan. He was professional and did an excellent job on my surgery. He gave great advice on my surgery and I was thankful that I listened to him. The appointments were on time and the nurses were very kind. It was a good experience all around.

Dr. Andikyan was wonderful! Once I was diagnosed the process went quickly and smoothly. I felt not only comfortable with everything we decided on but also knew he was super knowledgeable and that I was making the right choice. The surgery went great and he checked on me daily after. I can't recommend him and his team enough!

WOW! Dr. Andikyan and his staff saved my LIFE! From first patient visit, to Hospital care was TOP TEIR! I was diagnosed with Cervical Cancer. My Mother died 3 months ago from Cervical Cancer so my hysterectomy was tricky and needed a professional with compassion, surgical expertise and VIP bedside manner. It is crystal clear why USF students shadow Dr. A, because he saves lives. He is straightforward and intelligent! Would definitely recommend 10/10 Sydney is fantastic!

Dr. Andikyan and his team at Tampa General Hospital/TGH Cancer Institute provided me the most exceptional care from beginning to end. I came to Dr. Andikyan after a referral from my OB/GYN to identify and treat a large pelvic mass in my abdomen. Turns out I had a 22 cm ovarian tumor on my left ovary and Stage 1A ovarian cancer. I am so profoundly grateful for the quick action, careful judgement, the exceptional professionalism and kindness given by Dr. Andikyan and everyone (nurses, receptionists, literally everyone) at TGH Cancer Institute. Dr. Andikyan successfully removed the tumor and my ovary/tube with no spillage, along with some other tissues to further check for spread. I was very scared going into this; there are so many uncertainties until the final diagnosis. But some of my stress was alleviated because Dr. Andikyan and his team took the extra time to answer my questions and guide me through each part of the pre-op and post-op process. Dr. Andikyan even called me directly… to talk about a concern I had regarding the operation. Ovarian cancer certainly wasn't on my bingo card this year but I am one of the lucky ones. I couldn't have asked for a better surgeon and team to get me on the other side of this life hurdle. Thank you, Dr. Andikyan!
