Dr. Valencia Janay Cobb, MD

My experience with Dr. Cobb was as the admitting doctor at Virginia Hospital Center, not as an office visit. Despite the same diagnosis and treatment proscribed by 3 other doctors, she insisted that the protocol was not surgery. Instead, she would "manage" my pain which was unmanageable for 36 hours and 3 transfers, give me antibiotics, send me home, and I could make an appointment for surgery at a later date. She was insistent and did not seem empathetic. She kept repeating "it's not our protocol." I insisted on seeing a surgeon who operated first thing in the morning, finding a gall bladder that had died, was disintegrating, and gangrene. If I did not advocate for myself and have an insistent friend, the positive outcome of my surgery could have been a lot different. This might be a very personal response, but I wish Dr. Cobb would listen and research before giving a "protocol."

Poor bedside manner. Gave completely false information about medication. Seemed bored and uninterested. Not good.

I have been a patient for 1 year. I have multiple medical issues that she manages very well and thoroughly. A couple of times I wasn't able to get a last minute appointment but overall good experience. would recommend

Been with mrs Cobb for about 3years this little lady is awesome she truly cares about her job and the people she serves very direct and observant if you have to see a Dr she's the 1

Not very curious about truly helping my condition. Seemed bored. Not up to date on things like probiotics or indepth testing for fatigue. Basic in and out 10 minute appointments

Would definitely recommend to family/friends.
