Dr. Valerie Altavas, MD

I just had my first appointment with Dr. Altavas. She and her staff are very thorough in examining patients - they are focused on finding out if your ailments are physiological or psychological and will refer you to an appropriate specialist for further care. Dr. Altavas was professional. I just wish that her office would accept credit cards but I believe that it's out of her control.

Just to see the doctor takes a while, the doctor does not follow up with patient. I went in to see the doctor, I had migraines for a few days and the meds they prescribed are not working. Just to get the doctor to change or give new meds she needs to get a message, a message she has not yet received apparently. We have called 3 times, we are told the same thing over and over. We have left 3 messages. Poor service!

The appointment planner overbooks this doctor. I have been here four times, took off early from work to be there on time and waited over an hour each time.
