Dr. Valerie Maxine Chavez, MD

I saw Dr Chavez for a number of years when I lived in Texas. I am now living in Utah or I would still be seeing her. She is a concerned and caring Dr. She is a very thorough & thoughtful Internist with excellent diagnostic skills.

I really like Dr.Chavez's friendly, upbeat approach. She listens carefully, and looks at the whole picture. Two of the things she wrote on my "prescription" were: 1) Get 20 mins of sunshine daily 2) Sing often I love her attitude. Dr.Chavez dDoesn't prescribe medicines unnecessarily which is another thing I like about her.

Worse Doctor I've ever seen. Rude and rushed.

I have had a variety medical needs and Dr. Chevez has addressed all them with knowledge and caring. If I needed more definate proceedures or testing, she referred me to someone that could address the problems more thouroughly.She gives patients the time they need but does not waste your or her time and is very efficient. If she is delayed, you know someone else is getting the attentio9n they need.

I used Dr. Chavez in the past. I was not surprised when she left the clinic she was at. There were a couple of doctors there that got "big heads". I felt she was probably overused at times. Her time with you in the exam room is 100% quality time. She always took the time - as much as she needed - to talk to me and to explain the problems / choices. When I left her office I had a hand written list of things she wanted me to concentrate on. I would not hesitate to recommend her - in fact I now travel the distance to keep her as my doctor. She is a gem in a bunch of wolves at times. Would not trade her for anything.

The office is a little difficult to find and signage could be better placed. Time assessing my physical condition was not too long but defined enough to cover all of the criteria to determine my quality of health. She and her staff are helpful and friendly. I would recommend her to a friend with utmost confidence.
