If you go in for an introductory session you learn about the program. They said you can follow one of three programs or progress through them. Option one is only their medical food (shakes soups etc), option two is a mix of their food and grocery food, and option three is grocery only. I knew going in I needed to make a change so choose option one all medical food. Within a few days I was so sick (not keto flu), my body could not handle the New Direction products (best guess I'm allergic to something in them). So they moved me to grocery only. I was told it was the whey, which is is not, because I can drink other shakes with whey protein and have no issues. I've never had any issues with dairy. During my third visit we created a grocery plan that worked for me. I was feeling great but each visit they tried to push me back to their products. I finally tried another protein shake they offer which is gritty and nasty. Now I have over $100 in products I will never use. Multiple visits… of walking in feeling great and then walking out feeling like crap because I was treated like a child and getting my hand slapped for not using their products. I found out that everyone is now required to be on one of their medical food options and no longer can do grocery meals. What a joke! Not everyone can tolerate all the additives that come in their medical food. One shake/pudding has 56 ingredients. One of which is sugar, but if you ask their products don't have sugar. Maybe they should learn to read the labels. If they were really concerned about the health of their patients instead of making money they would treat their patients better and not force more artificial crap down peoples throats. Support those that choose whole foods with out additives. Will the medical food work, I'm sure it would for those that can tolerate it. For those that can't or would prefer a whole food diet don't go here. Lastly, they charge almost $200 for an initiation fee, which I was told goes towards your first visit but they billed my insurance very time I was in there. Its not worth the money if they dismiss you from their clinic because their products make you sick. This company is only in it for the money not for really helping people get healthy and live better lives. DON'T GO HERE as they are using a bait and switch method, saying they will help you one way but will only really help you if you use their products.

The staff are uneducated people who are scripted with statements. They have absolutely no idea how this weight loss program works. I have medical knowledge and it’s excruciating to listen to her so called coaches - I’d continue if I could bypass these uneducated people. Also I know steroid abuse when I see it .

I had only been working with Dr. Sutherland for approximately 2 months so I can't speak to her abilities as a weight loss specialist. Other to say at my last appointment it felt like she was taking a bad day out on me. My issue with her services applies to her Botox services. After the initial injections one of my eye lids began to droop. I've had Botox in the past and was always pleased with the lift. I made an appointment with her, and we decided to give the Botox another week. 3 weeks later when I asked about fixing the stoop which by now was not only unattractive but now I could feel the weight of the lid drooping. She very decisively told me she would not touch it. This procedure was $540. She offered no solution, and basically ended the appointment. I made an appointment with a cosmetic surgeon who after examining me notes this was not an unusual side effect and offered a common solution. Which is working to lift the eye lid. This is a basic solution- So I cant decide if Dr.… Sutherland just didn't know about the solution or just didn't care about how unhappy I was with the results.

Valerie is Super professional she's very caring and an outstanding doctor.

I appreciate Dr. Sutherland's thoroughness and the amount of time she spends with me in an appointment. She keeps me informed of test results in a timely manner. I feel that I am in good hands with her approach to my medical care.
