Dr. Valerie S Vitagliano

I normally do not give public reviews but the only review I saw was that Dr Val (as she is lovingly called by her patients) is not a qualified dentist! This is so far from the truth that I was compelled to write. I am sorry about the last patient experience but his review comes from a very one sided and obviously not well informed place. I have been a patient of Dr Val for over 20 years. I myself was a dental assistant for over 6 years for a dentist that specialized in cosmetic dentistry for famous people. With that in mind I am very particular about my personal dentist. I sought her out and have continued to be her patient because of her expertise. I have had severe dental issues since I was a child, in fact I was once told by that same dentist that I worked for, that I was a dentist dream or nightmare depending on your point of view. Dr. Val has always taken great care of all my needs including crowns. Always perfectly fitted, clean margins and beautiful results. In fact she is… now deep into working in conjunction with a well know surgeon on my implants. My temporary on yet another bridge fits better then most people permanent bridge. If the patient is dissatisfied at how the crowns look, it is the lab that made the crowns and his anger should be directed at them and not this amazing, kind, excellent and professional DR.

Valerie Vitagliano put in 2 crowns. One broke off within a week, The other showed a swath of black metal between my gum and the top of the crown. "Dr." Vitagliano tried to remedy the latter problem by pasting on an enamel-type patch which fell off within a few weeks. Where as this "dentist" showed up in person at my front door with a sales proposal for the work, when the above problems occurred she refused to take or return my calls requesting a refund. Even a certified return receipt requested letter went unanswered for a month. Finally, when I told the receptionist via phone that if my call was not returned I would come in to the office and make a scene, I received a $1,600 refund out of the $4,000 I had paid up front in good faith. It cost me another $3,074 with another dentist to remedy this disaster. I have filed an ethics complaint with the Maryland dental board and the Maryland Attorney General's office.
