Dr. Valerie Levick Wright, DO

I believe Dr. Wright’s conduct in my case reflects serious deficiencies in medical practice. She delayed sending a necessary CT scan order for months and continues to refuse to issue an MRI order despite recommendations from specialist physicians. When I raised concerns about these issues, she dismissed me from her care while I was actively ill, rather than addressing my questions or providing continued treatment. In addition, she appeared to have little recollection of prior discussions and failed to recognize that the medication she prescribed may have caused the side effects we were evaluating. These actions demonstrate poor clinical judgment, lack of continuity of care, and disregard for appropriate patient management.

I saw Dr. Wright for the first time today. I have a number of serious health issues and recently moved to this area. I needed a primary care provider and I can say, without reservation, that I could not have been more impressed and hopeful after talking with her. She took her time with me, explained her treatment plan in detail, and gave me a most positive impression in every way. I can truly say I am blessed to have found her.

I found Dr. Wright to be engaging and open minded. She didn't object when I wanted to use niacin, garlic, and guggul to bring down my high cholesterol and merely agreed to check it again later. She listened and answers questions and seemed genuinely interested.

She was not engaging with regards to answering questions; in fact, when a question is asked that she does not feel like answering she just stares at you and repeats the exact same words she just spoke. Clients have to rights to thoroughly discuss all elements of care. She was clearly agitated when I requested a referral to a specialist and inquired why because she was able to do so. I requested that she collect records from my previous specialist in order for her to temporarily prescribe bc pills. She then neglected to collect my records from a previous doctor, even though papers were signed for her to do so. Her response to my requests for the script was "have your specialist give them to you" even though she knew I had to wait a long while for an appointment. She was the worst doctor I have ever had to deal with. She was difficult to work with, difficult to talk to, condescending and inept. Her office was clean and she was on time with the appointment.
