Dr. Vanessa Lea Chiapetta, MD

She is cold, shows no sign of empathy for her patients and mad all of our visits with her awkward. Glad we have a new doctor.

My 10 year old is a patient of Dr. Chiapetta and we have had no problems with her. I felt like I needed to send in a review to shine a better light on her than what I've read. She is down to earth and straight-forward so maybe that might rub people the wrong way. She speaks directly to my daughter and listens intently on what she has to say. Dr. Chiapetta has always given options on what we can "try" first before jumping to costly and possibly unnecessary medical testing. I've been quite pleased with her care. The majority of the staff is very nice. There has been one occasion that we experienced someone who was in a bad mood. :) We have always been able to get in to see her within a 2 day period of time. There is NO wait time before you're taken back into the examining rooms. After signing in, I barely have time to bring my cell phone out of my purse. No joke. They ranked Dr. Vanessa Chiapetta was noted as one of the "Best Doctor in Austin of 2014" I'm so sorry for the length of this review! :)

Beware of CPS being called if you disagree with her diagnosis and seek a second opinion. Sad that an uptight doctor can accuse you of medical neglect for being cautious.

This doctor treated me poorly, she was discourtesy and wasn't interested in anything I had to day regarding my daughters health. She failed to send a culture off to the lab and because of that my daughter went without the necessary antibiotics. I wouldn't let this doctor treat my dog, much less my daughter again.
