Dr. Vanessa Latrece Dowdy

Dr. Vanessa L. Dowdy-Sigur has been practicing family centered dentistry since she graduated from the Meharry Medical College in 2001. She completed her residency at the Birmingham Veterans Affairs Medical Center in 2002. She enjoys getting to know each of her patients and takes time to explain in detail what treatment would be best for each individual before proceeding. She has been actively involved in Cosmetic Dentistry with many years experience in bleaching, bonding, porcelain crowns, and veneers, and is well qualified to help you understand what might be best for you. Though creating beautiful smiles is her passion, her patients appreciate the fact that she provides comprehensive dentistry for the entire family--from preventive sealants, tooth colored fillings, crowns, bridges, dentures and partials when needed. Dr. Dowdy-Sigur has spent hundreds of hours educating herself and her staff on the most current dental techniques and procedures in order to provide you with the latest, …most beautiful, comfortable, longest lasting dentistry available. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry and the National Dental Association. Dr. Dowdy-Sigur and her husband live in Covington, Ga with their three children, all boys. As a family they enjoy, sports, camping, and traveling. Dr. Dowdy spearhead's our volunteer campaign each year. The family attends New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in Lithonia Ga. Dr. Dowdy enjoys providing a professional yet relaxed family environment for her patients. Dr Dowdy's procedures for safety and cleanliness go above and beyond all standard requirements for a safe practice.
