Dr. Vanessa Maureen Graves, MD

Being new to the area, she was highly recommended and now after my first visit today I can understand why! She asks questions to know the “why” behind medical history and to establish a strong understanding as a baseline to future needs. She patiently answers questions and articulates a clear path on what’s next along with options. I can see why more than one person has recommended her and her office and blessed to have her as our family doctor moving forward. Highly recommend.

I have experienced great care from several providers and Dr. Graves was a stark contrast . She must have felt really insecure when I asked questions because she felt the need to tell me how many years she spent learning how to read research before she even became a doctor. She was incredibly dismissive and didn’t seem to like that I had questions. She just told me my thoughts were wrong, but was unwilling to say how she knew that. The comments made were about people she doesn’t know and hasn’t examined so I found it odd that she felt competent to diagnose them. Definitely speaks to her lack of credibility as a physician. Doctors like this misdiagnose often because they don’t know how to listen or work with their patients. They have been taught what to think rather than how to think. They lack the curiosity and compassion that is needed to provide quality care. There are quality providers out there! Don’t settle for a Dr. Graves.
