This led to an abrupt shift in demeanor, with an unwarranted display of hostility. Such behavior, especially from a therapist, has a lasting impact on individuals and is contrary to the expectations for someone working with individuals who have experienced trauma. In light of these observations, I could never recommend her. I believe it is crucial for individuals with a trauma background to be supported by professionals who exhibit genuine empathy, open-mindedness, and a non-judgmental approach. This experience has underscored the significance of a therapeutic environment characterized by respect, trust, and a shared commitment to healing and growth.
