The tele-session started with the dr. on the phone texting. When finished texting she mentioned it had been a hectic day. I told her I was taking an over the counter sleeping aid, with an extract of a non narcotic California poppy called Eschscholzia Californica, again non narcotic. She said that poppy was an opioid, so I asked her to give me a chance to find the actual name of it for her. While I was looking for it, she continued insisting it was an opioid. I told her I was searching for it, to please give me a chance to find it, but she wouldn't stop insisting it was an opiate. By that time, I was getting an anxiety attack, and I told her that I wasn't interested in arguing with my therapist and that I was so nervous I was about to hang up. This therapist, instead of waiting for the actual name of the medicine, instead of listening when I told her that I was starting to get anxiety and instead of coaching my anxiety decided to hang up the session.
