I don’t know from where to start. 1- when you decided to be in this specialty, you should knew what’s about. When a parent bring a kid to emergency room is not a social visit, it’s to find the urgen condition that make kids Feeling in the way that you received. 2- if we as parent know the diagnosis why I will bring my daughter to see you ? It doesn’t make any sense to me at all? 3- if you decide to do any test, you as doctor must know that results must discuss with the parents. Instead to send the nurse after waiting 4 hours for that results with discharge papers. Really is this is a joke to you ? Because isn’t to me at all. Be responsible for this job. Being a doctor is no like being an architect. Architect they can do any structural building wrong that they can fix it, but you as a doctor make a mistake with one kid, and it can be late to fix it. Be a doctor because you really like it . This profession is beautiful, is not a joke. Need dedication and full attention for… find the right diagnosis. What you did today with my daughter it’s unethical and unprofessional at least I know what to do because Am a doctor from Cuba. But, I can’t imagine other kids that parents are not in this field. This is no my specialty but at least I have the acknowledge that you don’t have it. Even my daughter that’s 7 years old told me: “mami is she’s only a week working as a doctor ? I asked why? And she respond me mami is a fact . I didn’t respond her because never thought to find a thing like this in any USA hospital. By the way Dr. Perez, If I didn’t tell you this in person because you didn’t give me the opportunity since you didn’t have the decency to come to the room and discuss the test with me as a parent and professional instead to send the nurse with discharge paper. I was really in shock, because I couldn’t think for a moment what’s going on ? And top of that the nurse I believe went to same training that this doctor when you asked her, where’s the labs results ? I would like to see it. Her respond : Ohhh you don’t have it ? Lol wait really are you joking with me ? Let me explain to all Of you. When you received a discharge paper it was authorized by doctor already . Nurse don’t authorize any discharge is not scope of practice of them. So, in other words, this Dr. Perez decide to discharge my daughter without telling me what’s going on, no test result nothing of nothing. If you have to go to Nemours Hospital and you have to see this doctor remind her that you have the right to know what’s goin on, remind her that you have the right to get the results. You as a parents have the right to that a many other that a lot of parent doesn’t know. Very sad that a lot kids get misdiagnosis because doctors like her.
