Dr. Vaqar Khalid Siddiqui, MD

Dr. Siddiqui Is without question one of the most compassionate and gifted doctors I have ever encountered in my life. His bedside manner is professional and caring. He is extremely intelligent and thorough. He handled my condition with amazing care. He keeps digging, leaving no stone unturned to get to the right answers. He talked with my entire family and gave the good and bad news and then laid out an action plan for what our options would be. The office staff at both his Clinton Township and Eastpointe, MI Neurological Centers are so friendly and polite. Do not hesitate to call and make an appointment with Dr. Siddiqui!

I wish I would have read reviews before going there... Don't waste your time, the reviews that said he does not listen and leaves the room randomly are very accurate! Zero organization and things get lost! Money Money Money from insurance companies is what they're after and if you're a cash paying patient they don't bother telling you anything about cost until they're done and have a surprise for you in the mail! calling there is also useless because they flat out tell you that the doctor cannot get on the phone and no one seems to know when he would be available!

Extremely long wait times, doctor mixes up patients, refuses to give health records when requested, the list goes on...

After a seizure and epilepsy diagnosis, I completed additional testing as recommended by Dr. Siddiqui. I went to the results appointment and waited over an hour only to be informed the doctor was not even in the building. Once I was finally seen, Dr. Siddiqui had not even glanced at my file because he tried to set me up for the test I had already taken and was there to receive the results for. Once confronted with this, he disappeared and came back about 30 minutes later saying he just had his technician review the test results - and I quote - is "90% sure its normal" but that he himself would also have to review the results. He provided me his personal cell phone number to call him and obtain the results the following week. I called, even allowing him an extra day, and as anticipated was blown off and never received a call back. Additionally, I reported very significant side effects from a medication he prescribed me. He and the office staff indicated they would be sending a new… script. Apparently at no surprise to them, my insurance would not cover the cost of this script. They indicated they would work with their pharmaceutical representative to obtain the script regardless of the insurance issues. Well, big surprise, this didn't happen either. What great patient care when you leave an epileptic with no medication, certainly nothing could go wrong there (immense sarcasm). Everything you read in these reviews is accurate. If you are like me and were introduced to this doctor through a hospital and he was the only option at the time, I would strongly suggest looking for a new neurologist immediately.

Dr. Is very busy with his office practice and his on call status at the hospital but somehow he works it out as fast as possible.. Always takes time to listen to his patients.

He is a great doctor. He knows what he is doing. He knows in details about the facts. After meeting with him I am feeling very well with his treatment. Friendly attitude so that you can share your feelings. I am highly recommending him.

Would not recommend this doctor. Avoid at all cost! Waiting time was more than 1 hour, and I missed my meeting. Never followed up on my labs and never returned my calls. Moreover asks sensitive questions on religion, nationality, immigration status, work place and etc... only to charge double price for a single visit. I never paid $800 for a doctor's visit before. No wonder he never followed up on my visit - if he can overcharge a client why bother? When discussing diagnosis he tells you to google it with an insulting comment like "You look like a person who likes to spend too much time on computer". When I asked a follow up question during my visit he said he needs to do more research and get back with me - which he never did. Overall, save your time, money, and nerves - just choose someone else.

A terrific doctor! Knows his field well, and has a listening ear; with genuine care for his patients.

would not recommend this doctor. longwaiting times, staff is very inexperienced. we waited for an hour on the phone for an answer re:meds. not thefirst time we had problems.
