Dr. Varalakshmi Sukhavasi Rao, MD

I have 2 sons. They both see Dr Rao. She has been their Dr for about 5 years. She is a good Dr. Both of my sons have a serious medical condition and she is always good about getting back to us when we call for info. She fills out all forms for school and she has offered to rearrange her schedule to accomodate us. She is a good Dr and she cares about her patients. Sometimes she can be firm with her answers but thats only because she cares.

Will not go back. Horrible experience. Dr Rao seems to be good, we have confidence in her, however we cannot say the same for the staff and some other drs in her practice. We will not return not due to Dr Rao but because we have no confidence in the office overall.

Some bizarre breastfeeding advice was given to me, I knew better, but some first time mom's may not and I feel her advice could turn some off to breastfeeding.

I honestly feel this practice is about money and feel like it was an assembly line office. When you go in the office staff is mostly always on a personal phone call and wait there to check in.
