Dr. Varun Choudhary, MD

I went to see Dr. Choudhary to establish a new patient relationship for anxiety and fatigue. Choudhary changed my medicine the first visit. I followed his orders and I started having side effects of weight gain, agitation, aggressiveness. I did not like this so I stopped taking my medicine and called Choudhary three times. It was not until the third time which involved calling the emergency number did I receive a return call from his office in Colonial Heights. By then I had gone to such extremes to contact him as I was afraid of the side effects, my trust was lost. He seemed like someone that just threw pills at a person and when calls were not returned and dangerous side effects were experienced just said oh well thatâ??s the way things go. When I met with him 30 days later I told him that I was not happy that no one ever returned my calls. Choudhary simply said Good Neighbor Counseling was a startup and that he did not think he and I were a match. I asked him if he was… firing me and he said no. When I called back to make an appointment the woman that answered the phone said I had been discharged. The take away? Do what he says and never complain. Both he and Good Neighbor Counseling are awful.
