Dr. Vasiliki Economou, MD

She has been my Doctor for over thirty years. First for my migraines and now for my Alzheimer's. I travel from Valley Springs to Hayward ( about 2 hours each way) to see her. She has been helping me for the last 6 years with my Alzheimers and I feel I'm in better shape (memory wise) than I was.

I read the negative reviews but still hoped I would have a good experience. I was wrong. I wasted two months dealing Dr. Economou. This practice has poor communication, they’re slow and their staff clearly hates their jobs! I never got answers from the doctor or explanations and results of the tests that were performed. There were also tests she ordered but I couldn’t complete because her office dragged their feet in the approval process. The office manager, Leslie, is surly and shouldn’t be working with patients or their confidential information. She is spiteful and has absolutely no compassion.

During this corona epidemic I was very surprised to get a call from Dr. Economou to discuss how I was feeling because I suffer from very bad anxiety and Dr. Economou knows it. She calmed me down a lot which I highly appreciated. I must say I did not expect it. She went above and beyond to make sure that she was there for me if I needed her during these difficult times. She has been my doctor for quite a while I am very satisfied with her care.

I been seeing Dr. Economou for more than 5 years. She has been a very patient and simpathetic with me and recieved Excellent treatment. I would recommend Dr. Economou to any patient without any hesitation. Also her staff is very helpful pleasent and acommodating

We have been there 3 times and she made us wait 1 hour each time. Why doesn't she make all patients come in 1 hour late so no one has to wait. She thinks her time is most valuable not others.

Rude!! every time I come to see her she never listens to what is actually going on! Just tells me to constantly be taking prednisone, no one wants to be on prednisone for months at a time let alone 2 weeks! Every time I try to schedule a follow up appointment with her, her staff is always saying “she’s out of the office” or she’s only seeing patients certain days of the week. I always have to wait 1-2 months to follow up on tests that have a sense of urgency!! Every time I take a test at another hospital I always ask how long it would take for the results to be back to my dr and everytime they say they are available same day and if not same day they will be made available in 24-48 hours! And when calling her office to see if I can schedule an appointment to go over the test results they always tell me it’s going to take a week for results to come back and I need to call back next week to schedule an appointment! How is it possible to call back next week to schedule an appointment… for that week if she is not going to be In office for so long or unavailable for over a month!? you need to at least call patients back with their test results instead of having me pay through the roof to come in for 10 minutes to be not paying any sort of attention nor giving me my test results! I always have to ask so what’s next ? Or what where the results? Which is obviously what I’m there for! Waste of time and money!!

Seen this Dr today and she altered my test! I was taking a NCS and at the end of the test when you have to squeeze she placed her hand over mine and squeeze to finish the test, I have no strength in my right hand. After asking questions to ppl that have had the test done I found out that the Dr was not supposed to interfere with her strength to squeeze. I will be reporting this to WCAB I’ve already notified my attorney
