Dr. Vasilios Gikas, DO

Dr.Gikas has been my family’s doctor for several years now. I’ve never been happier with a doctor. He listens to your opinions, refills scripts in a timely manner, and shows compassion in all the right areas.

Dr. Gikas listens to what you have to say and he’s very polite and outgoing, which helps if you have “White coat syndrome”. He is extremely knowledgeable in identifying what issues I’ve had in the past, and never takes the chance of overlooking anything.

Dr. Gikas took his time and listened to what I was saying. He didn't disregard my concerns and shared his educated opinion about the issues I have seen him for. He really understands what taking care of a patient means. Dr. Gikas took time during the day to speak with me about some lab results. Not after hours, not an assistant. He did. That is one thing I deeply appreciate. Other individuals that I am personally acquainted with that also see him have the same to say. He is caring, considerate, and thoroughly works through the problem with you rather than giving you a leaflet and saying "call the office if you have any questions".

I would have been better off allowing my child to diagnose me. Not a good experience at all. I had to wait over an hour just to get in. The billing systems are a complete mess. There are better doctors out there don't waste your time!

Dr. Gikas takes time to listen instead of trying to rush through the appointment. He defers to specialists when needed. He lets the patient be a part of the medical plan rather than pulling the "I am the dctor" card. Highly recommend.

Dr. Gikas has been our whole family's doctor since he just began his residency. He is always very thorough and listens to what you have to say. If you don't like a treatment course he will try to find another alternative (within reason of course), and doesn't badger you with the "I'm the doctor, I know everything" sort of mentality that you often run into. He's great with my kids, and even manages to draw information out of my husband who never talks! Best of all, he's patient with me, and I can be the person who asks enough questions to make you want to scream. I'm going to be sad when we have to move this spring and find another doctor, Dr. Gikas is the best doc our family has seen in five states!
