Dr. Veena Charu, MD

I have been a pt of PCM for over 7 years. The post op dr and staff i had at a different ctr was rude and unprofessional; never explained or answered questions as 'it's normal' . Dr. Charu and staff take their time to fully explain any issues as well as why answer any questions or concerns I have. Front office always courteous and professional; willing to accomodate appt times and any changes in appt. Billing staff are professional offering suggestions and explanations to issues. Sometimes wait in exam room before seeing dr or PA can be a bit, but still given full visit; never rushed. Saw Dr. directly first few years, then has been PA's for visits. Dr. Charu heavily booked and seen only once a year, but PA's are thorough and seem to answer any questions or ally any concderns I have at time of visit.

After being diagnosed with Stage 1B Testicular Cancer, I was referred to Dr. Veena Charu and Team for my treatment. She alleviated all of my concerns and answered all of questions in a calm and reassuring manner. She advised I get a second opinion at UCI-Chao Cancer Center and the referring Oncologist advised I go through with 1XBEP round of Chemotherapy. Treatment was tough at times, however, I was well-tended and looked after during my cycle. If anyone reading this has doubts, please do yourself a favor and follow your doctor’s advice. They want you get better and I felt like I was in the best hands and care here. After Chemo, I followed up on my aftercare appointments and made sure to take note on what the PA and Dr. said. Today I am 4 months post-treatment and my outlook in life has never been brighter. Thank You Dr. Charu and Pacific Cancer Medical Center for giving me a second chance and new lease on life!

Being diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer is scary but the Dr. Charu and her team have been amazing at answering all my questions and explaining step by step the chemo and immunetherapy questions. Everyone from the front desk staff to the chemo administration team have been very welcoming and patient. Also very appreciated is the manner in which Dr. Charu or her PA Mandy calls me back when I have a concern or question. Thank you so much for the great care you give me.

She has been my aunt’s patient for months and we are highly unsatisfied with her and i highly don’t recommend her. She is always late, always in a hurry to leave the room never stays around to her questions or concerns of the patient. She lacks all the important qualities to make a good doctor which mostly importantly means being a decent human being first who genuienly cares about her patients both physically and emotionally.

This office is pretty well kept and the staff is very knowledgable. They are understanding, dont lose patience with you, and the doctor takes their time and explains everything properly and answers any questions. As long as you communicate they are pretty willing to accomodate.

Diagnosed my condition accurately and prescribed treatment has improved my condition.

Dr. Charu and her staff was absolutely great during my visit. She answered all of my questions in a way that I was able to understand it instead of giving me a bunch of medical terminology where an average person probably would not understand. She took the time to explain everything to me which put me at ease. Her staff was very courteous and greeted me as soon as I signed in. My overall experience at Dr Charu's office was great.

Way to skeptical about the prognosis, hesitates to do everything outside of routine practice which is based on 35 year old standards and poor educational quality.

Due to Doctor Charu and her collegues I'm alive after been diagnosed with bone cancer in 2004.
