Dr. Venkata S Kottapalli, MD

Dr. Kottapolli has been my GI for years & he is very professional & a master at his craft! He has a good bedside manner & is concerned about all of his patients & will answer all your questions before & after! I would recommend him any day! They all did such a fantastic job that I had to give this review! Melissa at the front desk is very helpful & knowledgeable. Nadia from Perrysburg is a great anesthesiologist, Christy who inserted my iv is awesome & excellent, & Amy who is the recovery nurse is awesome & excellent as well. Chris was helpful, too. Thank you all very much for helping me get through my colonoscopy! The Miralax is better these days bc you can add a flavorful clear liquid such as Lemonade & Gatorade for a more palpable taste. Years ago you could not & it was nasty! People, please schedule a colonoscopy today! Buckle up & take it like a man or like a ‘big girl’ it could save your life! GOD BLESS!

I think he does great work. I like that he prints out pictures when you have an EGD and colonoscopy. He is the only dr. that I know of that lets your spouse watch your EGD and/or colonoscopy being done in the surgery room. He really cares about his patients. Also even though he is foreign, I can completely understand him. He also wears a ball cap. Lol

I have a history of stomach ulcers. When during one of my visits I complained about pain in my stomach area, he asked me: so, what do you do when your stomach hurts? I answered: I take Zantac. He asked: Does it help? I said: Yes. Thus doctor cheerfully said: we, then keep taking Zantac! What a shameful attitude! I immediately changed a GI, and my next doctor found pre-cancerous condition of my stomach and esophagus. This kind of behavior of Kottapalli is simply a crime.
