What has impressed me most about Dr. Miller is how individualized and collaborative her approach to care is. She brings a broad understanding of medicine to psychiatry and takes a genuinely holistic and integrative approach, looking at the bigger picture rather than treating symptoms in isolation or using a one-size-fits-all approach. I’m an engaged patient who asks a lot of questions, and she welcomes that involvement. She listens, explains her reasoning, and works with me to determine the best path forward. That has built tremendous trust and confidence in our relationship. Her concierge model adds an invaluable level of accessibility and continuity. I can provide updates between appointments, and she uses that information to stay current so we can hit the ground running when we meet. That personalized, relationship-based care is one of the things I value most about her practice.

Dr Miller has been seeing my wife for approximately 1 year. Dr Miller and her staff are always very pleasant and helpful. Dr Miller has a good knowledge of various prescription drugs but will only use a prescription if needed. Dr Miller has written several letters to assist with disability reviews with great success. Dr Miller takes time to learn about you and listens to you about what is causing your problem. We have seen other physiatrist and Dr Miller is head and shoulder better than anyone else we have seen.

Dr. Miller provides a thoughtful and structured approach to psychiatric care. She is attentive, collaborative, and focused on long-term stability and real-world function. Her practice is also very well run—Alyce, her Office Manager, is responsive, organized, and a pleasure to work with. I would recommend her to anyone seeking attentive and well-managed care.

I highly recommend Dr. Venera Miller. She is thorough and knowledgeable yet kind and compassionate. Her office is warm and welcoming and her staff is friendly and helpful. Dr. Miller has been my psychiatrist for many years and she helped me through very difficult times in my life including addiction, depression and mood disorder diagnoses. She is active in her community and works with her local school districts to educate students on the opioid crisis that has overwhelmed the community. I really enjoyed the flexibility of telemedicine and the convenience of meeting her in her office. Dr. Miller is dedicated to helping all of her patients recover and live healthy and productive lives.

Dr. Miller is an outstanding psychiatrist. During my first visit she was extremely empathetic and listened to all that was going on with me. Her recommended treatment helped me tremendously within the first month and it has only improved my symptoms since. All of my follow-up appointments have been wonderful. The office is calm and serene, with different entrances and exits for privacy. And Alyce the office manager is patient, kind, and goes the extra mile to support Dr. Miller's clients. In an age when insurance companies don't want to pay for any medications unless you jump through innumerable hoops, Dr. Miller fights for you and advocates for you to ensure you get the medicine you need. I cannot overemphasize how professional and knowledgeable she is. It hearkens back to years ago when doctors had the time to get to know you and spend time speaking with you to make the best choices for your care. I was hemming and hawing for years about going to a psychiatrist, but now I am… very happy I did.

I first met Dr. Miller when I was 20 years old and along my journey I had moved away and later returned to the southern MD area and could not find where she was practicing...until I did. I have struggled with my mental health for decades and to say my journey has been long and arduous is an understatement. I felt and had pretty much accepted (to be honest) that I was never going to be able to find a provider that not only was exceptional and listened but that really heard me and actually cared. From the very first visit, Dr. Miller spent ample time speaking with me, and really getting to know me. She never treated me like a number but as a human being. Her care is unparalleled, her critical thinking and intuitive, academic abilities to see the bigger picture and treat a patient's whole wellness is remarkable! She is highly intelligent and amazingly gifted. After suffering for so so long, Dr. Miller has gone above and beyond to find the right medications for me (and let me tell you...NO… ONE has been able to do this after decades). She is able to walk along side me in my path to healing and always meets me exactly where I am with compassion, patience and encouragement. I am so unbelievably grateful to Dr. Miller. She truly has changed my life and saved me more than she might even know...AND she advocates for everyone who suffers mentally out of the goodness of her heart. There are those that go to school and then carry out their profession day to day (and I have seen MANY of those professionals...with all due respect) and then there are those that change the world...and Dr. Miller is one who changes the world...one soul and mind at a time. Elyse is a JOY to work with. She is always so kind and diligent. Patient and attentive and willing to help in every way she can. I love to call and she answers as opposed to a robot answering. Her voice is kind and thoughtful and any time I have a question, she never hesitates to assist me. Dr. Miller and Elyse make a GREAT team and the energy is so wonderful every time you speak with them or visit. Thank you both so very very much. Sometimes we go through life not knowing the individuals we touch but I am here to tell you that you both have touched my life and changed the trajectory of my future and that is something I never thought would or could happen. I now wake up every morning FINALLY able to see the world as others may see the world. I have so much JOY in my heart. I believe that we are all here to heal each other and that we can change the stigma with mental illness and make speaking about mental illness apart of everyday conversations thus, changing the world so that no one feels they need to hide their mental health snuggles but embrace them and help advocate for the betterment of everyone creating a safe and loving environment. Dr. Miller takes the time to listen to her patients and apply her knowledge and experience to determine a treatment plan that is customized for your particular need. I was suffering for several months without any progress utilizing ‘standard’ medical care. Dr. Miller’s evaluation is very thorough and the results speak for themselves. Within days I was back to feeling like myself again. She is simply amazing!
