Dr. Venerando Randall Guelpa

On my only visit he informed me I needed $10000 of work done and would not let his hygienist clean my teeth unless I agreed to the work. I left and went to another dentist who found I only needed 1 filling. Later a friend told me he had a similar experience.

My insurance required me to go to this dentist. I had a broken tooth and had already seen another dentist outside of my insurance. The cost to fix it was exorbitant. I went to Dr. Guelpa and was told that I had to pay an "emergency" fee even though I had not asked for an emergency appointment and it took a week to get an appointment to be seen. My insurance said I had no co-pay. When I was done they wanted to charge me 2.5 times the fee they had previously told me. The dentist looked at my tooth and said he could fix it for an exorbitant fee but he could not pull it himself (which is what my insurance would pay for.) He said I needed to see an oral surgeon. His office NEVER did file with my insurance company for the visit, I guess because they charged me the illegal fee, so my insurance won't even take my complaint because they have no record of me going to see him and thus I can't see an oral surgeon either.
