He is the best!

I had gynecomastia surgery several years ago with Dr. Rao. I regret having it done with him since I am left with unevenness and ugly scarring on my chest. I should have known from condescending way he treated me before surgery how little care he was going to put into it.

Experienced problems immediately after breast surgery. What should have been a simple procedure has turned into a nightmare. After the problems became serious, he said there was nothing he could do. I've been seen by a number of other docs, not certain there is a solution. I'm in constant pain. He seems to be a nice guy, but needs to retire. Please do yourself a favor, go somewhere else.

I had 3 c sections and lots of extra skin that would not go away no matter how much exercise I did. Dr. Rao fixed my flabby belly so I can wear a bikini and have total confidence with my body. He is a very talented surgeon.

I had a Breast reduction surgery in June, 2014, by Dr. Rao. It was bad right from the get go, they could not stop the bleeding in the hospital before discharge, that should have told them right there that something wasn't right. The absolute worst Dr. I have ever had to deal with, along with his asst. LuAnn Shay, who said I was fine and I would not see any differences in the looks of my breasts @ 6 mos.. I saw the Dr. Rao at the first Appt. to set up the surgery and never saw the Dr. at all after the surgery, just LuAnn and she said after one week of surgery that I should be out jogging by now. Well the surgeon cut off all blood circulation and the left breast turned black, Luann gave me some burn cream to help heal, stated it was an infection. I was in terrible pain and still after one year still having discomfort. So I went to another plastic surgeon in Madison to find out what had happened and why they still are so painful. He stated it was because when Rao did the surgery he cut… off the blood supply or blood circulation and may never be pain free, all the tissue was dead, I asked if anything could be done at this point and he said no, not unless he removed tissue from my back and rebuild a new breast with no nipple. I can't stress it enough, this is the worst Dr. I have ever seen before. Heed my warning and hopefully he won't be able to hurt anyone else again. If there was a way to sue him for what he did I would in a heart beat!!!!!

I was referred to Dr Rao by my out-of-town surgeon when a problem arose with my breast implant. I received excellent care and follow-up.

I had Surgery and it did not look like mch was done and infact I looed worse then He did a revison and he made it even worse then before. He is very had to communicate with as also told by staff.He does not listen and now had washed his hands of me and had dorected me to another Dr in the clinic. I have found out about others patients who had to have other procedures performed again. MISTAKES OVER AND OVER. we will see what happens next

I had the tendon and ulnar nerve at the wrist severed in a work accident over 25 years ago. Dr. Rao reattached the nerve and tendon, when nerve surgery was quite new, and I could not be happier with the results. I have had full function of the hand for all this time, with no pain and excellent touch remaining in my 3rd & 4th fingers. I have recommended Dr. Rao for many years now as a result of my great experience.

Breast reconstruction surgery. Continual mistakes, and doesn't listen to patient, so they are not interested in correcting their mistakes. Terrible time with double breast reoncstruction because the doctor, PA, and nurse who fills expanders, are continually making the same mistakes.
