This will be a revision of a previous surgery and I have all the confidence in the world of Dr. Vemuri

It seems that most medical establishments see you as little more than your medical problem and a pay check. With Dr. VEMURI and his practice you will find some of the friendliest staff and professionals who treat you as a person. I am sorry if you find yourself in need of their services but I know you will find the treatment you will receive to be far beyond the norm.

I had an appt at 9:20am. I arrived at 9am. I was overlooked and wasn't seen by the PA until around 1:30pm.

During Covid you stay in your car till called. I was seen an hour after my appointment time but realize they are faced with new challenges. I do wish things were explained better about my condition without me having to ask every single thing. Treatment; however, was adequate

Dr. Vemuri was the first doctor, out of several that actually showed me what was going on with me, by pulling up all my information, x-rays, MRI’s every injection in room! I’m very thankful for him! I not where I want to be yet but because of him I’m going in the right direction!! Thanks Dr. Vemuri

I did not meet with Dr. Vemuri until 1 1/2 hours after my appointment time. As usual, the staff was friendly and professional. Dr. Vemuri covered a lot of information regarding my MRI and I believe his examination was thorough.

I'll start by saying I didn't actually see Dr. Vemuri, but instead I saw his PA-C, so this review reflects more on his office as a whole opposed to Dr. Vemuri specifically. I went in originally because I've been having back pain for years (I'm only 29), and after seeing several doctors and doing physical therapy, nothing seems to help. On my first visit they took 2 x-rays, the results of which weren't very helpful- which is fine. I was then told I needed to have an MRI done. I came in the following week for the MRI, which all went smoothly (aside from the billing, which I'll go into later). A few days after the MRI, a report was added to the patient portal by the doctor that read the MRI. It seemed to be very thorough, but there was a lot I didn't understand because I'm not in the medical field and have had a pretty limited medical history. The final diagnosis given was "ankylosing spondylitis." I did some research online to find out what I could, but was looking forward to my… follow up at Dr. Vemuri's office to get more detailed information. My follow up visit lasted all of 5 minutes, and I left with no new information. The PA-C pulled up my MRI images along with the report from the doctor that gave the report mentioned above. After clicking around and scrolling through the images, I was told she "had no idea what she was looking at," and that I needed to go see a Rheumatologist. Now, I understand that this isn't her area of specialty, being that they usually deal with discs and bones. But, the frustrating part was it felt like I knew more than she did. I would assume she read the report before I came in, in which case a little research could/should have been done. Or, better yet, tell me over the phone that I needed to see a Rheumatologist and save me 2 hours of my life (between the drive and the wait). I was told I would be given a referral to see a Rheumatologist, but I've still not received that (over 2 weeks later). I've called several times, spoke with 1 person and left 3 voicemails. It's frustrating because I still don't truly know what is causing my pain, and even after the referral is sent in I'll have to wait to get an actual appointment. Seems like it should be pretty easy to fax my information over to another office. My last note is regarding the billing of the MRI. The day after I scheduled it, I got a call requesting payment in advance. They "estimated" the amount I would owe after my insurance did their part, and I had to pay that up front- which I did. After getting the bill from the insurance company, I was charged almost $300 more than I should have been. I'm 2 phone calls in trying to get this corrected, and still nothing. Again, this review should not reflect directly on Dr. Vemuri's skills as a doctor. He came recommended by a friend of mine who loves him. I just caution that the office itself has been a nightmare to deal with, and I still have no answers. Maybe I should have waited to see Dr. Vemuri himself rather than his PA-C, but I thought I would get quicker results this way.

This osteopath lies. Document all conversations via video and/or audio tapes. If he has nothing to hide, he would allow your conversation with him to be documented. If not, quickly excuse yourself and run out of the office. He has (through surgery) destroyed my ability to work and life. I filed a compaint with the Kentucky Medical Board in hopes that he will never be able to injury another patient again.
