Dr. Venus T Khalil, MD

Honestly if I could give 0 stars I would. Saw Dr. Venus Khalil at an urgent care, let’s just start off by saying that her bedside manner is atrocious!!! She insisted that I didn’t have a urinary tract infection after I had already explained to her that when I get UTI’s my results are always negative until the infection has already progressed and traveled to my kidneys. She rudely implied with a loud tone that my issue was that “I have to much sex” implying that I have multiple partners and sleep around and contracted an STD, she never asked me about my history, she based this off the fact that my chart simply said I was sexually active. If she had asked I would have been able to inform her that I have only been sexually active with 1 person for the past 9 years. I found it extremely inappropriate that a doctor would even address this issue in this manner and talk down to an adult woman for being sexually actively in the first place. She cut me off multiple times during the… consultation, not allowing me to voice my concerns & when speaking her tone was very rude and almost seemed insulted when I stated facts about the topic and shut down everything I had to say. Told me “young people do not get UTI’s” and that “holding urine does not cause UTI’s” & “so you’re telling me that every patient that comes back negative is actually positive?” She insisted that since the results are negative and it is impossible to have a UTI which is ALL FALSE FALSE FALSE!!!!!! I have worked in the medical field for many different doctors and was always told by ALL that the threshold is high on the urine analysis and that a slight infection or beginning of an infection will come back negative and that regardless of the results, doctor must prescribe an antibiotic if a patient is describing UTI symptoms, this is nothing new! I have personally seen patients with the same issue where results are false negative and the doctor without an argument or attitude always prescribed an antibiotic. The fact that I had to actually go back and forth in an argument with a doctor over something so simple is ridiculous. I simply asked to be prescribed an antibiotic not an opioid, give me a break ?? I don’t need a medical degree to know that any one of any age or gender can get a urinary tract infection and that results can come back false negative for any test! I would absolutely NEVER recommend and will not be back!

very short and cold. seems aggravated with doing he job! actually turned around and rolled her eyes and banged her lap annoyed with me for not being sure of a question being asked while i was sick!

She is rude and shows no care or concern for patients. I waited an 1.5 hours and she spent 2 minutes with me before rushing me out. I was still asking her questions as she walked out of the room.

One doctor runs the whole office, no reception, no assistant, just one doctor runs the whole office and does it all. Imagine some one does the cleaning, paper filling, touching all the paperwork at the front desk than examenate your mouth without washing hands. Yuck!

Dr. Khalil has been our family physician for over 10 years. She is caring and knowledgeable. The longest I've ever waited in her office is 15 minutes. She goes out of her way for her patients in every way. If I had to choose again, I would choose her all over.

dr.khail has a terrible way of speaking to her patients. She seems stressed out nasty maybe she needs to employee a staff

The only positive things I can comment on are the waiting time and flexibility with appointments. She has had no assistant for quite awhile and became progressively short tempered and vague,obviously overwhelmed and often not returning calls at all, or not following through with questions or information. Follow up care was non-existent. She did not go into depth during examinations and gave very vague old fashioned explanations for problems with myself or my children.Anyone can look on Web MD and learn that poison ivy is not contageous and that common colds are not caused by "crazy weather", but these are just a couple of the things that she has told me over the last 2 years. I stuck with her for the convenience and short wait times. Lately, Dr. Khalil has become so ill tempered, downright rude, vague, and and is clearly in need of retirement. I have made the choice to seek a higher level of care for my family, and unfortunately can not recommend her to anyone looking for a… progressive, caring medical doctor.
