Both Dr and staff do not communicate, and are very inefficient. I was actually fussed at by the doctor for not automatically knowing she does not do telehealth visits (tho her clinic offers telehealth appointments - her words to me “I do not support telehealth visits, and unless I say otherwise, I require in person visits only”). Three times she communicated one thing, but did the exact opposite. THREE times put in tests and orders without discussing with me first - causing confusion; most tests were not needed, resulting in a lot of needless insurance waste and copayments to patient. I had to refuse most of them. I have life long asthma… but she insisted on my second visit with her, in sending me to cardiac stress testing while I was deftly ill with sepsis. 2 doctors asked her (implored) to cancel the tests. She out right refused. I could not have my life critically needed surgery until the test was done. Result? Not a single cardiac issue or hint of any problem. But, It was a… needless waste of insurance, my large copay, and severe stress (I had to travel significant distance to do the test, while very ill). The third encounter was the worst - and after is when I fired her. She put in EIGHTEEN test orders she never discussed, and 5 doctors referrals she also never discussed - the orders were not related to any current diagnoses, and the doctor referrals I had not requested. I had to contact each referral doctor (all I had never heard of) and cancel each appointment (I had them note the referral was without my consent), then unsuccessfully could not get her staff to cancel the 18 test orders - this led to my contacting Mercy administration who then ordered her to cancel the orders. Even that took THREE more requests to cancel between Mercy, my new PCP and her inept staff! This took 3 hrs of my time and was a misuse of many other’s time. She also seems to not recognize recent (expensive) tests done by other doctors (eg run 1-2 weeks prior), and puts in orders needlessly - causing and risking patient care, instead of picking up where the last doctor specialist instructed the PCP to follow up. She plainly lacks common sense and burdens patients needlessly, without any regard, both time and financially. Last, but maybe as important, every single appointment she was 1 hour to 1-1/2 hours late. Yes… literally each time. Where was she?? If she doesn’t do telehealth, and the office is mostly empty, and there is no staff anywhere… what and where are they to be so late each time?? If you are invested in owning your health care choices, stay away from this doctor.

She caused a delay of a critical surgery due to her requiring an unnecessary test that had nothing to do with my current health. When I asked her to waive it until after the surgery she refused, causing several other surgery teams needless confusion. Everytime I’ve seen her, I have a 45-60 minute plus wait. She fussed at me for not automatically knowing she does not do any video visits (tho her clinic offers them). - yet she accepts virtual appts! If you follow up with her staff, they are not responsive for days (or don’t respond at all). She… also seems to not recognize recent tests done by other doctors (eg run 2 weeks ago), and reruns them needlessly - causing and risking patient care, instead of picking up where the last doctor specialist instructed the PCP to follow up. She plainly lacks common sense and burdens patients needlessly.

Very through and pleasant

Dr.Collins had zero compassion, was very abrasive and did not listen. Never recommending her.
