Dr. Verna Alberta Thornton, MD

The worst doctor appointment I ever had was with Dr. Thornton. I wanted to discuss my perimenopause symptoms. She told me immediately that there is no such thing as perimenopause. She laughed at some of my symptoms, told me I wasn't washing my "toys" well enough, and dismissed me. She said I sound like I have a mental issue. I sat on the examining table with tears in my eyes. I felt small, belittled, and scared. She sat back and looked at my body and said she sees nothing wrong. I wanted to leave but I kept sitting there like I was paralyzed. It was the worst appointment I have ever had. I highly recommend that you avoid this doctor. It was so horrible.

I am not sure how I received Dr. Thornton's information but 11 years ago , my doctor, my friend is still simply the best.

I had to change Drs. Because of changes in my insurance . I was so thankful to have found Dr. Thornton. She is smart, direct and really cares about her patients. I have found her office to be efficiently run and her staff pleasant and helpful. I am happy to recommend her office to anyone needing OB/gym services.

Great Doctor. Hard to get a hold of office sometimes

Can't speak on Dr. Thorton because I didn't see her since I had to cancel my appointment. I did receive a bill for a $25 no show fee. I called and cancelled the day before and Melanie stated that they never received a call from me. I called to speak to the practice manager and I was told that they dont have one at the office. Apparently Melanie handles it all. No wonder she missed my voicemail. Asked to speak to Dr. Thorton since she is the buisness owner and was told she doesnt talk with patients. Terrible customer service over all.

Excellent bed side manner took time to talk to me about my choices, very informative, even showed me a video of the choice I made. Very honest and open. Thats why I left my last doctor, because she had none of these qualities. I was recommended by a friend and I will recommend her to all of my other friends. She is awesome.
