Dr. Vernon Colton Shaffer Jr, MD

I love the fact that Dr. Shaffer, always takes the time to sit and listen, ask questions, etc. I've been one of his patients for years and wouldn't go anywhere else.

I had a c-section by DR Shaffer. After, I healed I was suppose to go to his office an get the staples removed. I called many times. I was informed to go to the ER, because of my insurance mix up. Even though I shouldn't be charged again for getting my staples taken out. So, I had to wait 6 hours in the ER for them to do his job.

Dr. Shaffer has been my gynecologist for many years. He truly cares about his patients. I hope he is not considering retirement as I hope to continue to be his patient for many years in the future. His staff is always professional and personable. He always sends a written report of my tests and files on my insurance in a timely manner.

Dr. Shaffer delivered my first child and I'm going back to him for my second. His bedside manner is great. He always makes me laugh and feel comfortable. He asks many important questions and is very thorough. His nurses are great and very friendly.Dr. Shaffer was able to tell me more about two conditions I have. Actually, I didn't even realize I had one of the conditions until he diagnosed me. And I have had many exams over the years, it was missed by my doctors over the years and my previous gyno. I love having him as my doctor!

Over all the doctor seem ok ... but he is getting old and kinda doesnt care anymore .. hes about to retire and his head nurse in charge takes things in her own hand... over all i used to go to him i dont anylonger ... i have had so many female problems they just dont care! my money will go into pockets of a doctor that cares about my problems and life!!!!!
