I am an individual who currently suffers from re-current C-Diff. I called Lahey Hospital and had a referral sent from my PCP. The three necessary labs required showed three re-current C-Diff infections and failed treatments (Standard to be accepted for Fecal Microbiota Transplant). I saw Doctor Veronica Baptista, who I must mention is not the woman giving me the Fecal Transplant; she was a stand-in for Doctor Anna Lezenscky, the doctor who would be giving me the FMT. From the very beginning of the appointment, Veronica Baptista was argumentative, rude, and dismissed my every concern; she was an effective roadblock in my pursuits of obtaining FMT. She stated that she did not believe I was a candidate, which was not HER decision. I told her that I have three labs showing re-current C-Diff and how I have a LONG history of antibiotic use for over a decade, leading to antibiotic toxicity, she then suggested I use 4 weeks of antibiotics?! This woman will cause you harm!
