Dr. Veronica Dongsook Kim, MD

It took 4 months to get to see her. When we meet she has a script that she follows and she doesn't like questions until she is done with the script. She makes assumptions based on the family history which I don't know my full family history. I don't think that she reads all of the labels on food packages because she said cream of wheat is full of chemicals and when you read the label it's wheat and vitamins. On the list of foods I will personally never touch canola oil or decaffeinated anything. In organic chemistry we had to decaffeinate coffee and tea I know what is involved. Other things like diet soda and sweetener she got right. She assumed that I was not a medical engineering student and didn't know anatomy physiology and biochemistry, she could have asked about my education. She just isn't personable.

After waiting 1 1/2 hours to see the doctor, I finally left without seeing her. I cannot believe I would have to wait that long for a physical! It might have been much longer however after 1 1/2 hours I felt so disrepected of my time that I left.

Always takes great care of me!!

Dr. Kim is sincerely the most thorough, caring, Doctor, available in St. Louis. She Listens, and follows through with her patients medical issues. She is a Doctor who will Always recognize what her patient is dealing with. Having lived throughout the country, I honestly have great respect for her. Might not say much initially, because she is listening, observing, and evaluating her patient. As you get to know her, you realize how genuine she is! Thank you, Dr Kim for getting me stronger, and on the right path!

I only saw her one time and that was enough. She was rude and uncaring. Her exam rooms were set up like a classroom. Patient sitting in front of her so that she can go down her list of questions in front of her. She was quick and to the point. She asked how I got her name and told her that I heard about her on this website. She told me that she never reads these and doesn't care about them. I had follow up appointments but couldn't bring myself to go.

I waited 4 months for the appointment. She informed me that it was standard, she was in high demand. I found her very cold and not helpful. Said that based on family history I would get diabetes, only a matter of time. When I asked her how to handle it she said when I got it she would manage it for me and not to worry. She need her time to treat people who were sick and I should educate myself by taking advantage of the information found on the internet.

Physician is difficult to get an appointment with and when I am able to see her she gives the impression I am inconveniencing her.

Dr. Kim is an excellent doctor. I have been a patient of hers for about 9 years and she has done more for me than any other doctor I have ever had. Just recently, she pointed out a mole that looked suspicious and sent me to a dermatologist. I found out that this was precancerous and if left unchecked, would have had serious consequences. I would highly recommend her as a primary physician.

Making an appointment via telephone took 15 minutes on hold and an additional 10 minutes to schedule the appt. Wait time took 20 minutes to see Dr. Kim. Dr. Kim and her nurse moved me in out of the exam very quickly. Dr. Kim appeared to be not interested in my health issues, but only to mark on her paperwork I was there, so my insurance company would pay her. Dr. Kim showed no kindness or interest to listen to me or help me. Dr. Kim only wanted to make her money. Very sad. I wasted a great deal of my time and my insurance company's money for nothing. I am happy to have a new doctor that has interest in my health and a much nicer efficient staff and extremely more professional.
