Dr. Veronica Zaharia, MD

I am a patient of this doctor. During this crisis of the virus I am being told the doctor will call as she is not in the office. no calls have been made to me in 2 days. I have just been told by the office that they are risking coming into the office to call in perscriptions so I need to risk going to an urgent care if I can find one!

Dr Zaharia has been the primary doctor for both myself and my son for over a decade. Because of her specialties in oncology and hematology, she has monitiored both of us with such care and expertise that goes far beyond a primary care physician. She is thorough and caring. Her office can get busy because she accepts many insurances and opens her heart to anyone in need. Dr Zaharia is rare physician in this day and age and I feel so fortunate to have her as our doctor.

Don’t bother going to this Dr. , she barely can communicate with you and her assistant is worst, don’t bother and find an American Doctor.

This Dr.Zaharia and her assistant are disgusting, no work ethic, no people skills, no communication, she and her assistant at least one of them can’t barely speak English, they are rude to the patients and work staff. It’s horrifying how they think is ok to take your bra of with the shade wide open and kids sitting by the window and on top of that they leave the door open when they are done , while you’re sitting there in disbelief. If your insurance covers another primary Dr. please don’t let it be her, I feel this office is just about copay and insurance fraud, so please be very careful. I will never recommend her and will never return to that barbaric office.

First and foremost if I could rate a zero, that would be my rating. The experience that I have had with Dr. Zaharia and her practice is ridiculous and unfathomable . Where do I begin; 1. They told me that my wellness check up had to be split up into two visits and when I inquired why I was told this is how it went (this sounded strange to me but hey I figured each doctors office is different but I still felt uneasy.) I followed up with my insurance and they said that as long as the procedure and blood work was filed as preventative then it would be covered. Before seeing the doctor for the second time, i confirmed with the receptionist desk that this was preventative work and they did confirm that it was. Of course that was a lie because now I am receiving bills from everyone possible. I felt that this was a lie to get more money and I should have went with my gut. Dr. Zaharia is not for the patients but for her own bank account. 2. I am told to go into an exam room and remove my… shirt with the window that faces baruch college wide open and I am the one that has to ask for her to close the window and she seemed surprised by this, saying that usually only her older patients ask for this ( as though younger people don't want privacy). 3. My second visit they place me in a room with another patient to do the second part of my blood work, then i am escorted to a private exam room. I am told to get into a gown and while the doctor is examining me (gown is off) an employee just walks in with out knocking and opens the door wide). This is the most unprofessional doctor and practice. Do yourself a favor and run away if you are possibly looking into going to visit this doctor.

Dr. Zahariia was rude, inpatient and demeaning in her care. She rushed us, did not explain any of her testing or diagnoses clearly and when she was told we would not follow up with her- stated we had to and sent us an appointment she made for follow up. She does not listen and is not compassionate or a good communicator. She speaks above the patient and is not able to listen to any questions, instead said she had to get back to the office so hurry up!

I have been Dr. Zakaria patient for years. There is no words that can describe her as a doctor. Dr. Zaharia really cares for her patients and is a excellent doctor. Would not change her , very, very please that she is my doctor. Elizabeth Martinez

dr. zaharia is a professional, through and through. she saw me even though i didn't have insurance (i've been her patient for years, but still, that was above and beyond!) my new job required a tb test, and she administered it and had me come back for her to read it, all gratis. she told me to come see her even in the interim, before my health insurance for my new job (which i did get, partly thanks to her!) will provide. i will never forget her kindness and professionalism - THANK YOU dr. zaharia for TRULY CARING for your patients, (and not just caring about the bottom line!) because, bottom line, you are a lifesaver, and i'm so grateful to have you in my corner. thank you so much, to you and your awesome staff.

dr. zaharia has been my primary care physician for over a decade, ever since i moved to nyc just under 11 years ago. she has helped me out so much over the years, it is hard to try to think of exactly what to start writing about. there are so many things. i have had nothing but wonderful experiences with dr. z, and this is due to her caring, thorough, and kind treatment of myself and all of her patients. she genuinely cares about people, and this is quite obvious in everything she does - from the amount of individual time and attention she gives each and every visit when treating each and every one of us, to her reassuring and positive "bedside manner" and how she just makes you feel like you are somebody instead of "just another patient". as a person of size, dr. zaharia's kindness and high level of expertise and professionalism are a welcome change and contrast to the sometimes cold, sterile and often judgmental new york urban landscape / the medical landscape at large. thank… goodness there are still doctors out there who genuinely CARE about people xoxo dr. z is the best, and i consider myself super lucky to have found her xoxo
