Dr. Vesna Delic

Dr. Vesna Delic, D.D.S. and her husband Delano Romero have owned and operated their own Dental practice in Albuquerque, New Mexico for 4 years. For the ten years that Dr. Delic has been practicing she continues to stress to her patients the importance of preventative care. From daily flossing, brushing, and regular dental check-ups to protection against injury, all these are key ingredients for people to keep their teeth healthy and intact through the remainder their lives. Knowing the importance of this her husband Delano, an active participant of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, went to a local fight shop and purchased a boil and bite mouthguard. To his wife’s dismay he failed to wear it as often as planned, for the breath obstruction and speech inhibition it caused during practice and competition. During one practice session Delano’s chin collided with a training partners head chipping both of his front upper teeth. That day, as he walked around looking like Jim Carry’s character on Dumb …and Dumber, Dr. Delic’s dexterous hands went to work and repaired his broken teeth with an expense that would have normally cost $700.00. After much lecturing form his caring Dentist, and Delano giving her reasons as to why he was not wearing the boil and bite mouthguard regularly, Dr. Delic took an impression of Delano's teeth for a custom mouthguard. Since that day Delano has been a strong advocate of custom mouthguards, for the difference it has made in his training.
