Dr. Vicki Lynn Berkus, MD

I only had the pleasure of working with Dr. Berkus twice, but she was able to point out things that my other therapists weren't able to point out after months of therapy.

My doctor was so astounded at her diagnosis that he let me read it first and then told me that he was never going to put this in my health records, and threw it out. I don't think this woman's opinions of patients are often based on standard medical knowledge or accurate facts. She does not spend enough time to get to know patients before she forms an inaccurate opinion.

Dr. Berkus pays attention to detail, asks the right questions, and makes sound choices when prescribing medication. She has a strong presence and is smart, but not intimidating, which makes it easier to feel comfortable, speak honestly, and trust her insight. She listened (and trusted) my feedback on whether or not medications were working. She isn't just a script writer, though--she nurtures with simple talk. Lastly, Dr. Berkus and her superhuman secretary, Debbie, helped to get my medication improved by insurance, something I've struggled to do for over five years; and this is an extremely expensive drug. My time under the doc's care was relatively short, about a year, but would continue if she hadn't relocated. Her departure notice gave ample time to find a new pdoc and included several psychiatrists within the area. I highly recommend Dr. Berkus, she's cool.

I would rate this physician as 5 star; one who goes above and beyond. She treats her clientele with respect and compassion, you feel she truly cares. She will challenge you to grow and help you to recognize and appreciate your own strengths.

She bailed out at the most critical time during my treatment.
