Dr. Vicki Ross was raised in California and obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut. She earned her Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the University of Connecticut in 1984. Dr. Ross then spent three years in San Antonio, Texas, first completing a one year General Practice Residency at the Veteran's Administration Hospital followed by a two year faculty appointment at the University of Texas Health Science Center Dental School.
In 1987, Dr. Ross and her family moved to Virginia where she completed her two year post-doctoral orthodontic specialty training at Virginia Commonwealth University. Upon completion in 1989, she started her orthodontic practice here in Newport News while employed as a part-time faculty member at VCU. …Throughout her career, Dr. Ross has been actively involved in numerous professional organizations, such as the American Dental Association and the American Association of Orthodontists.
Dr. Ross strongly believes in continuing education for herself and her staff. She frequently participates in local, national, and online courses to learn the new trends and technology to advance the way she treats her patients.
Dr. Ross and her husband, Dr. Mark Ross, met while in college, and have two grown children who are now living out of the area. Dr. Ross and her husband are outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy scuba diving, cycling, kayaking, skiing, and golf.
