Dr. Vicki Jean Sparks, MD

Dr. Sparks took such great care of my Mom.who lived to be 92. I am a Nurse so I was very careful to choose the best Doctor I could for my Mom. So grateful to Dr. Sparks for the wonderful care she gave Mom.

was under the care of Vicki J Sparks from 2006 to 2014 he misdiagnosed me after a very important report that came through about my bone density and about what was really going on she did nothing about it did no follow-ups and now I am left with a disease that could have been prevented if she would have paid attention but she's obviously fallen off the wagon because she already told me she had an alcohol problem well here I am now facing a double hip replacement because I was highly allergic to steroids after she sent me to a pain clinic she is not a good doctor her office is a mess she can't keep staff and I would not recommend her to anyone at all

I thought at first she was a good doctor because she sat and talked to me but all she wanted to talk to me about was my alcoholism and not understanding the real reason why I drank. Because she did not do further investigations are test I am now facing a double hip replacement because of something she did and didn't follow up. I would never go to her again and I suggest no one else does as well and she still does surgery at the hospital every Thursdays God have mercy on the people she's doing surgery on because she is the one that still has a drinking problem

Wow. These reviews vary so much that t's hard to believe these people are talking about the same person. My experience with Dr. Sparks has been nothing but good. I went to her because she was on my insurance plan and was a woman. I have a male gynecologist and when I told him I was having hot flashes, he told me to go research what I wanted to do about it on my own. Dr. Sparks took time to explain my options. She's reminds me of an old 1950s doctor, the kind who would make house calls and take time to listen to your ailments. That's something I haven't found anywhere else. On the negative, she always seems to have a nervous grin or giggle when I talk to her, which is a bit unnerving. Her office is a bit old school and has a funny smell, but it appears to be clean. Staff is just ok.

My Mother is currently 89 years old and suffers from dementia/Alzheimer's Disease. I began taking Mom to her about 4 years ago. Mom (Mother of 8 children) has been healthy all her life and as such didn't see a need for regular Dr. visits. She has never needed prescription medication. I am a nurse and have worked around physicians most of my adult life. When the time came to find Mom a Dr. I chose one that I'd seen and known from the hospital in which I worked. He seemed very personable and caring; even met my Mother by chance at a restaurant before I called for an appointment. He was charming with her. At the time I made and appointment for her, she was still in control of her faculties. When we went to see him found him to be distracted and rude. She wanted clarification about a medicine the Dr. wanted to "try" her on. When she asked why and what were the side effects he became very defensive. I felt embarrassed for him and horrible for my Mom. Unfortunately,… we had to go through this 2 more times with 2 different doctors. What she was asking for was not inappropriate. We were given a referral by a friend of mine (also a nurse) to try Dr. Sparks. I can truly say the she has been nothing but gracious, kind, attentive and very knowledgeable. She is down to earth and does not put on airs or pretenses. She has ALWAYS returned my calls in a timely manner. While her office does not have the trappings of luxurious office buildings it is small, simple, clean and efficient. Her staff is extremely busy but have always been courteous even when dealing with unexpected emergencies. I have only good things to say about Dr. Sparks and her staff.

Dr. Sparks recommended I get blood work done. It had been over 3 weeks and I hadn't heard back. I called the office and was told they do not send letters (nor do they use the email system they have you set up, I guess ). I had to take off work again and pay the copay only to hear I have a vitamin deficiency. The office itself is gross and smells like a nursing home. They took my vitals in what appeared to be the bookkeepers office. The nurse, Christina, is either argumentative or treating you like a child.

I highly recommend dr sparks to anyone who is tired of arrogant doctors who leave you stewing in the waiting room for an hour or two,because they doub ...

I really like Dr. Sparks and her professional attidude is also wonderful.
