Dr. Victor Tsunghsin Chen, MD

Dr Chen has done both of my c sections, and he has been outstanding. Both children came early, and I was at risk, and he made me feel comfortable and safe. His bedside manner is amazing! I would recommend him to anyone!

Dr. Chen was recommended to me by my "regular" OB GYN for a hysterectomy (I am 70 years old - during a routine ultra-sound it was discovered that the lining of my uterus was "too thick" - possible cancer cells) I have met with Dr. Chen 2 times now in his Oro Valley Office (wonderful office staff) we discussed the various options available - he carefully, and patiently explained everything to me. I am scheduled for a robotically assisted laparoscopic surgery next week - I will post another review after that !

Dr. Chen saved my life! He is amazing.

Dr. Chen was not my OB-GYN with my first pregnancy. He was, however, the doctor on call when I started bleeding and went into premature labor with my daughter. At 32 weeks along, I was quite worried about my girl, especially after finding out I needed a c-section, due to her breech position. I had never in my life had a hospital admission nor surgery and was scared to death. Dr. Chen came into my room and explained everything calmly yet didn't beat around the bush or use medical language I couldn't understand. His bedside manor was professional and kind. I started to go into minor shock when being taken back to surgery, with my lips going numb and such. Between Dr. Chen and the anesthesiologist on call, they made me feel so safe and calm. The surgery was super quick, my daughter healthy (though still preemie enough for a 3 week NICU stay) and the incision was beautiful, with no puckering or jagged areas- just a smooth, tucked line about 4 inches long. I became pregnant not 4 months… after the birth of my daughter, at which point I dumped my crappy OB and hunted him down. Though he wasn't the dr on call for my newest daughter, the months leading up to my (preterm, again) delivery were amazing. As my OB, he was always happy to stay a few minutes longer in an appointment to play 20 questions (which my old OB would not do), he was again very kind and professional. Instead of telling me what I needed to do, I was always given options, and he was all around a wonderful doctor. I would never recommend anyone besides Dr. Chen for someone who needs an OB-GYN. He's completely amazing.

Based on my recent experience, I found Dr. Chen to be a wonderful doctor. I totally agree with all of the reviews about him being extremely knowledgeable & kind. It is truly a breath of fresh air to have a doctor who spends time & cares about each and every patient. I would recommend him to anyone in a heartbeat (no pun intended).

Dr Chen is the best! I came to him in my sevent month of being pregnant. I had a horrible experience at my previous dr. Dr Chen is caring, professional and listens!! I had a hard pregancy, and he made the whole experience so much better. His staff is top notch! I am so happy to have him as my dr!

Dr. Victor Chen is the best!! I went to other doctor first and the attention was horrible, I had and ectopic pregnacy and they did not care about it. Changed to Dr. Chen and he is so caring and knows what he is doing. He is very professional and listen to your concerns. I would recommend him to anyone that is looking for the best doctor!

Dr Chen is so wonderful!He works out of two offices. The one in Oro Valley is positive upbeat and friendly. The one on La Cholla is cold, rude and unfriendly. I would highly recommend seeing him in Oro Valley. Although his demeanor doesn't change,the office environment is really weird on La Cholla whereas in Oro Valley the staff is super cool. He has outstanding bedside manner, no Male OBGYN Creep Factor...he's not a weirdo.He's very calming, easy to talk to, treat patients with a high level of professionalism and friendliness all while bringing years and years of experience to the table. He comes highly recommended by other docs and is very compassionate.Just love him!!!

What a totally wonderful doctor! He listens, pays lots of attention, wants to absolutely help and understand. It wasn't about child bearing for me, but more mature concerns and I found him to be kind, very intelligent, not in a hurry and a consumate professional. So happy I found such a great doctor.
