Dr. Victor Gad Mellul, MD

Front desk staff has zero customer service skills and outright lies about a 15 minute wait, when the waiting room was full of patients waiting for at least an hour, even when most of us arrived early or on time. A patient arrived saying they were in earlier and went to the pharmacy only to find out that the doctor wrote the prescription in the wrong name (something along the lines of Kimberly Smith instead of Kathleen Smith). No apologies were made, instead the prescription was begrudgingly reissued under the patient's correct name. Once with the doctor he rambled at high speed, did not even look closely at my face or skin. He did not give me a diagnosis on the discoloration on my forehead and upper lip (which I had come in to see him about). Instead, he told me my skin is too red in places in a disgusted tone and said I need to use a facial cleanser that I can purchase at the front. He also told me to make another appointment for two other discoloration patches on my cheeks and… wrote a prescription for ointment that he said I should start using right away. When I asked for which discoloration he prescribed the ointment he got annoyed and mockingly said "for the forehead of course! if you use it on your other ones they will get much worse" and threw me a disgusted look. He cut me off impatiently a couple of times, talked over me a couple of times and rushed out, all in the span of 5 minutes. I then paid my $25 copay fee and $27 for the facial cleanser that had his name... I thought I would be using a professional product by a known brand name, but figured I would give him the benefit of the doubt and buy this super expensive small tube of cleanser. The front desk were now stressed and rushed to grab my money and see me off. The tiny waiting was full to the brim. The lady at reception made another appointment and never wrote it on a card for me or even asked if I would like her to. It seemed like a conveyor belt of "come in, wait a long time, be quiet, buy my product and get out after paying in full quickly". I went to fill up the script for the ointment only to be told that the prescription he wrote for me does not exist in the strength he wrote it for (0.05% does not exist), so we placed 3 calls to the office so they can tell the pharmacy directly what the correct script would be. I then walked out with a $10 tube (copay) of 0.01% ointment (which my husband who is a nurse told me is prescribed for eczema, which I do not have). After spending over an hour and over $60, I used both the cleanser and ointment as prescribed for a week. My redness has not disappeared, as the Mellul cleanser does absolutely nothing (but at least has done no harm yet) and my discoloration patches are now solid black, so the eczema ointment he prescribed has turned what was a slight issue into a big and highly visible problem. Needless to say I have stopped using both and I am searching for a REAL dermatologist. Dr. Mellul is a charlatan who peddles his product, has zero bedside manner or patience and is only interested in your money, rather than healing your skin conditions.

Expect to wait about 2 hours to be seen. Even if you scheduled an appointment, you won't be seen until about 2 hours later. Then, Dr. David Mellul will see you for 5 minutes and talk OVER YOU the entire time. I can't get one sentence in without him interrupting me after a few words. Very frustrating trying to talk to him. Also, my condition has gotten 10x worse since working with Dr. David Mellul. I've been prescribed several things, took them as instructed, and now my acne is 100x worse, my face is dark red and extremely burnt, and my skin is falling off and flaking off. I stopped taking the meds 4 days ago, and my face still burns painfully, is dark red and bumpy, and is peeling and flaking away. Do not see this doctor, I repeat, do NOT see this doctor. It is NOT worth it. I wish I knew this before wasting me time there. Also, the front desk staff isn't very friendly in person and on the phone. Save yourself and save your skin and go somewhere else. I wish someone warned… me.

I was at his office a few times. The wait was more than one hour. No apologies from anyone. My time is as valuable as his. Why schedule all these appointments for patients in such a short time. Anyway, terrible doctor, terrible customer service. Avoid this little doctor, there are many better Dermatologists.

Waited long and Dr. Mellul just sat on a stool asking questions to my self diagnosis! He did not touch me to examine the areas of concern and then suggested trying products (Promoting)he had in the office each one carrying hefty price tags! I am non the wiser of my condition!

Horrible experience. I left this office in tears and called my husband because of this doctor's insensitivity, impatience and rudeness in informing me what my diagnosis was. There were 2 interns who sat in on the visit and THEY even looked at me horrified at how insensitive this doctor was to me! Unbelievable! He should have chosen another career other than caring for people because "caring" he is NOT. He'd probably be a better accountant. I reported him to my insurance company.

2 app for 7:00 waited till 7:50 in a hot office and then just left. My time is just as valuable as his. Patients were coming in and being told the wait was 15 min when we had been there 50 min past out scheduled app. Others who had been there for 20 min were being told they were next, we were already been waiting 50 min past our scheduled app. Totally unprofessional and over booked. Do NOT GO

I have been there 4 times and the minimum wait time was 1 hour. The last appointment I had, I had to leave work early for and after waiting 1 hour and 45 minutes to see the Dr. I left. When I went to the front desk to say that I had to leave, the acted as though it was an inconvenience to them. Forget the fact that I missed and hour pay or the fact that no one checked in on me. They offered no apologies and no one from their office bothered to contact me to see what they could do to get me seen and soon. Too bad though, Dr. Mellul is a pretty nice guy and I would have loved to stick with him, but why should I have to waste so much of my time waiting?!
