Dr. Victor Joseph Narcisse III, MD

Very nice doctor who is great at explaining the situation and the pros and cons of each option in situations requiring a difficult decision. He was attending physician in ICU.

I don't recommend this doctor AT ALL! I was seen by him at St Luke's ER. He has absolutely no bedside manner to speak of. In fact there were times when I thought he acted quite unprofessional and spoke to my husband and myself in a very condescending manner. I was surprised St Lukes would allow someone lacking so much unprofessionalism on their staff. I came to the ER with excruciating pain. At the time I was unaware that a cyst had ruptured on my kidney and I was internally hemorrhaging. When I kept asking for more pain medication, that he was withholding, he started implying that I was there to get drugs. He only left a very short order for my pain medications and then he disappeared. The nurse on call paged him over three hours. He never answered while I sat there in excruciating pain. I could go into many other things but there's only so much space here. Do not use this doctor you will not be satisfied.

narcisse was assigned to my brothers case as his"hospitalist" after a very intense Whipple surgery. During the 5 1/2 month on and off stay my brother was in intensive care and on life support a total of 5 times. Upon several occasions he was rude and unresponsive to concerned family members or their concerns . At one point, Within less than 24 hours of release to go home my brother was suicidal and we were frantic to return him or at least get him medication for his sever depression. I personally called Narcisse a total of 5 times leaving anxious and troublesome messages with both his staff and his answering service. Narcisse never bothered to return one of those calls! Also, one of his female associates was absolutely nasty with me on the phone when I tried to get a prescription for something she had forgotten to prescribe my brother when he was moved to a rehab. Her accent was so strong that my elderly brother nor his wife could understand what she was saying to them. … Overall it was a totally shameful experience as far as the St. Luke appointed Narcisse and his company!

Dr. Narcisse over a number of years treated my husband with respect and dignity. Always the professional, he helped me and my family to deal with a very difficult illness. He will always hold a special place in my heart for all he did to make my husband comfortable to the end.
