Dr. Victor Francis Szymela, MD

DR SZYMELA WAS THE DOCTOR AT THE ER YESTERDAY, HE WAS TOTALLY AND COMPLETELY NEGLIGENT...HE NEVER DEALT WITH THE ISSUES THAT I WAS SICK WITH, HAD IT NOT BEEN FOR THE NURSES, I WOULD HAVE HAD NO MEDICAL CARE..IN READING ON THE INTERNET, HE IS A FACIAL SURGEON....I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED BECAUSE HE SAT AT THE DESK AND STAYED ON THE COMPUTER THE WHOLE TIME I WAS THERE....HE NEEDS TO BE REPLACED...THE TREATMENT WAS PATHETIC...

My adult daughter developed pneumonia as a complication of Flu. I took her to the E.R. where this incompetent doctor was on duty. After a reasonable wait he"saw" her but did not exam her. Sent her for xrays then told her she had to be admitted. Total interaction time was less than two minutes. She has no insurance. He billed her $1500.00. I bet the E.R. record has been falsified also.

My relative went to St. Vincents East Hospital ER and Dr. Szymela saw him. He received no medical attentio, not even an IV. He was vomiting and defacating profusely. Aftet hours of mp attention he was moved to a room and left to die. Family had to intervene to get a surgeon to save his life. The surgeon said if 1 more hour had passed he would have died. He did not think he would make it through the surgery but he did, but spent weeks struggling to live over and over again. Dr. Szymela tried to refuse him admittance during his recovery upon returning from a nursing home where he almost died and was in shock. A lawsuit is being discussed for negligence and other matters. How many others have died or suffered because of him?! Hopefully not many more.

Anytime you schedule a Dr. appt, you expect some face time. You need to talk about whatever problem you are having. This Dr. spent no time at all with me, did not even ask any questions, just said I needed an MRI and to come back after it was done.No thanks! Dr. visits and tests are expensive, even with insurance. I have no desire to give my hard earned money to him.

My grandmother waited for 8 hours for a GI specialists that he claims he ordered. The GI never showed up and, as it turns out, he never ordered. He diagnosed her with constipation but it was a complication from surgery and she was leaking bile into her intestines. She had to have emergency surgery and the surgeon is unsure if she will pull through.
