Dr. Victor A Wowk, MD

I arrived when requested and was told after 30 minutes that I would not be seen for another 1.5 hours. They asked if I wanted to reschedule....but why would I? They gave me no explanation or apology. Appallingly rude and inconsiderate.

During my 2nd visit I found out he is not actually a surgeon which is what I need

Dr. Wowk's professional knowledge and patient friendly manner combine to make him one outstanding specialist. I highly recommend Dr. Wowk for his skills and experience in the orthopedic field.

My appointment was at 3pm, I arrived early to fill out paperwork. I ended up getting called back around 335pm. From there I waited a bit more, and the doctor finally came in. Seemed like he hadn't spent any time at all reviewing my chart, even though I had been to the same office several times already to see one of the partnering MDs and was referred to Dr. Wowk by same MD. He seemed dismissive at first but warmed up and became more interested. I did not end up leaving until 530pm because he kept leaving the room and returning but it would take 15-20 minutes for him to return each time. In the end though I feel like he did a pretty thorough investigation of my situation and I will see him at least one more time for follow up. Since I had nothing else to do that day I didn't mind all the waiting, but they do not validate parking and so I had to pay for 3 hours. Luckily it is pretty cheap to park there. Also I attempted to call and speak with Dr. Wowk about a prescription and left… messages twice but have not received a phone call back within the past two weeks.

Dr. Wowk was fantastic. My daughter tore her ACL and lateral meniscus. He was king, thoughtful, took a lot of time, explained all she would go through, and was always avail by phone if we needed him. I highly recommend for his expertise and kind manner.

Dr. Wowk seems like a nice enough person but appears to be too busy to adequately serve his patients. I waited 45 minutes to see him for my first appt and then one hour to see him for my follow up appt. to find that he had not looked at the reports from my MRIs nor did he have time to properly explain my diagnosis or offer any meaningful suggestions for management of my condition. He then told me that he would phone me with the name of someone who could perform a needed procedure on my hip and after 3 weeks and multiple phone calls from me, he still has not responded to me. Meanwhile I have a painful condition and no advice or next steps for how to handle it. I strongly recommend against this doctor.
