Dr. Victoria Gomez, MD

Dr. Victoria Gomez is a miracle worker and I will be forever grateful to her for saving my life from the larger colon polyps possibly turning to cancer, and she also prevented me from having a previously scheduled unnecessary scheduled right hemicolectomy with appendix removal at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN because she was able to get all of the larger pre cancerous larger polyps out using EMR via colonoscopy. She was so kind, caring, informative, answered any questions that I had, made me feel comfortable, helped get me scheduled for the procedure while I was in town from out of state, and I knew that I was under the absolute care with her. She is an absolutely brilliant physician!! I was so grateful that I did my research and found her. Everyone at the Mayo Clinic was so kind and caring and took the best care of me. The hospital is beautiful and I would come to the Mayo Clinic for any future procedures or surgeries or major medical issues. I will be flying… to Florida from Tennessee for all follow up colonoscopies or procedures with Dr. Gomez. Thank-you Dr. Gomez! Heather

I met Dr Gomez for the first time when she was at my bedside prior to a very urgent surgery for a biopsy and stint for a bile duct blockage . I was very impressed with her caring compassionate professional bedside manner, most of all her overall self confidence made me very confident I was in good hands during a very difficult time. Hospital in my area of South Carolina told me that they saw something in my abdomen and they did not what it was and that I needed to go back where I came from. My wife went and got the car while I was being discharged. We drove down to the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville and not only did Dr. Gomez know what was wrong and treated me but also found a stone that was missed at hospital in midland South Carolina. Dr. Gomez is truly a God sent. She gets ten STARS.

Dr. Gomez is a very nice, professional, knowledgeable doctor with a patient attitude and a gentle touch and attitude. She listens carefully when you talk and remembers the smallest details. She takes her time explaining things in lay terms. Before my procedure she spent a lot of time letting me know what she was going to do, and after she carefully explained what she did.

Courteous, kind, personable professional. Didn't talk down to us and was definitely not condescending like doctors at other medical facilities. She answered all inquiries without acting like they were an imposition.
