I had a great experience with Dr Shin, she was pleasant, inquisitive, thorough and listened intently. The office staff was helpful, but if you pay in cash, keep your receipt! Just in case you are billed twice. The only minor problem was that the building is not very well ventilated so it smells very musty and the air is stale inside and the elevator is tiny; take the stairs if you can.Hope this is helpful!

I've never rated a doctor before, but after reading a negative review of this superlative physician, I decided to speak up on behalf of Dr. Shin. She was so quick to accurately assess my situation, so willing to clearly explain my options, and so refreshingly candid and unpretentious in conversation, that I found her charming! I can recommend Dr. Shin unreservedly and look forward to seeing her tomorrow. By the way, her peers often send their spouses and relatives to Dr. Shin. That should indicate how highly she is valued in this area. I count myself blessed to be able to see this wonderful physician.

Dr Shin was very courteous, spent all the time we needed, answered all our questions. Tests were done quickly and easily, and we left very satisfied with the service we received. I would highly recommend Dr. Shin. She has a cute personality also! :)

I have been with this practice for several years and have always found the treatment there of the highest caliber. I usually don't base my healthcare decisions on these user based internet reviews as they are better suited for restaurants and dry cleaners, but thought I would put in my 2 cents worth.

Dr. Shin--and the entire cardiology practice in Torrance--are absolutely horrid.I routinely needed to wait over an hour in the lobby. Every seat was taken. (And it's a huge waiting room.)Dr. Shin was rude, condescending, arrogant.Her nurse called a few days later telling me I needed to get to the ER due the results of my tests. I tried to explain that I hadn't taken any tests yet. They were scheduled in a couple weeks.The nurse on the phone refused to believe me. After 15 minutes, she agreed to check with the doctor. Found out she had mixed up some files. NEVER a word of apology.Brilliant! Call a heart patient and scare the bejesus out of him after a screw-up. Maybe cause a real heart attack while you're at it. Great way to drum up business, eh?My advice: Avoid this practice. It's overcrowded and overbooked. About seven doctors trying to squeeze every dollar possible out of some people with serious heart problems.Shame on you Dr. Shin.
