Dr. Videsh Damodar Deshmukh, DDS

The work was good, but some Doctors seem to have non-essential procedures they use to stick it to you with and this guy is no different. I go in to have a growth on my gums removed. The procedure itself was wonderful. Afterwards he tells me something about sending it in for biopsy, I don't (at the time) really know what he's talking about, it's something he just does, not something I get asked about or asked for permission about. We did talk briefly about if the growth was symptomatic of a larger problem, but I wasn't worried about it and he said he did not think the was reason to worry about that either, yet the biopsy was done anyway. Weeks later I get a bill for almost $400 for this biopsy. Then a couple weeks after that I get ANOTHER bill from ANOTHER place related to the biopsy. Yes, one bill from him for taking the sample and another from another place to process it. Plus the bills to insurance for the office visits and this guy is billing somewhere in the range of $600-$800… for maybe 30 minutes total that I was in a room in his practice over 3 visits. If you have money to burn his work is good, but if you don't, go elsewhere.

Dr. Deshmukh examined my teeth for periodontal disease at the advice of my routine dentist. He was very thorough and informed me that my problem was most likely allergies and recommended I floss a little more thoroughly around the problem tooth. I have had no further problems after using an allergy spray and changing my flossing procedure. A dishonest dentist could have told me I needed expensive treatment so I trust Dr. Deshmukh completely. It is very important to know that the advice you get can be trusted. Dr. Deshmukh is also very friendly and I would not hesitate to go back. In fact, I may need am implant and he is the only dentist I would trust with this procedure.
