Dr. Viet Ton That, periodontist, is dishonest, does unnecessary painful work, doesn’t know how to give a shot etc. Caution - He works in more than 19 locations. I wanted a gap between 2 teeth decreased to prevent food particles filling it. After his & the dentist’s exams, he said he could improve/decrease the gap because no problems, no inflammation, no pain, no gum issues etc. (proof - I saw the office record). Meadows Dental Office personnel came in to tell me that the procedure cost of $8,300 would be discounted if I had the procedure today. My dental plan copayment was $2,224. His peridontal treatment INCREASED the gap & depth, immensely worsening the problem, making it impossible to clean debris out of the gap, which can eventually cause tooth loss. When I confronted him his reaction was none, where the dentist felt guilty for sending me to Dr. That. When I complained to my dental insurance, Meadow Dental Group (Frank Chu, D.M.D.) terminated me, & DID NOT discipline nor… fire Dr. That. My insurance discovered that I was overcharged $545. Later, at a new office, the correct procedure - changing the crown, decreased the gap, which was a cost that should have been done originally by the dentist at Meadow Dental Office, not Dr. That, periodontist.
