I came to him for globus sensation. He did an endoscopy and biopsy. I did not hear about the results until a week after the procedure. Following up with email did not help as I did not get a reply from him even after a week. He was ready to prescribe ppi for an year. He did not advise on life style changes. I followed up with Naturopath, and was tested positive for HPylori. I did not like that all he could do was prescribe ppi which just masks the symptoms and not sure why HPylori was not detected during the biopsy.

I saw Dr. Pottathil for an emergency endoscopy to address a piece of food lodged in my esophagus. He was knowledgable, competent, and got right to the root cause, also diagnosing an EoE condition that has gone undiagnosed for quite some time - this had been happening for years and I thought I was just not chewing my food, etc. I like his approach - he was proactive, upbeat, and candid in discussing treatment options and I'm confident we'll get to a great outcome.
