Dr. Vijay Kumar Rekhala, MD

This Dr is crazier than any of his patients! He is a pill pusher and a know it all. He talks down to you and belittles you. Don’t go to this psychiatrist at all......he needs the psychiatrist you will get more help with your primary care dr and counseling. There is a reason he is the only psychiatrist that is taking on new patients.

TREATMENT DID NOT MAKE ME ANY BETTER. HE WAS NOT CONCERNED ABOUT THAT.

DO NOT go to this doctor! A skilled therapist is a critical resource for healing people, but being talked down to, being degraded and being told you are a loser and your weak, is not my idea of healing. After meeting Dr. Rekhala and putting your sacred trust in him, you will need even more healing after your experience, then when you started.

Dr Rekhala is nothing more than a drug pusher. HE charges $450 per hour and will talk at you, not to you for less than five minutes, NO counseling at all. He says he "doesn't get paid enough for that" Why does this man still practice. He cares not one ounce for his patients, if you call it that. He is there for cash money. PERIOD. he should have his medical liscense revoked. Do not waste your time or money!! What a disgrace.

He is a horrible egotistical doctor who gave me meds for bipolar disorder, lithium to be exact, when I was being treated for depression. I never knew he was treating me for bipolar disorder and I am definitely not bipolar. I only realized what he was doing after I started med school and learned about lithium. The med can be deadly and has terrible side affects.

Stay away from this doctor. There is a reason he is the only psychiatrist in the county that is accepting new patients! Go to family doctor and psychologist.....you will be much better off.

My experience with Dr Rekhala was very favorable. He listened intently and was kind. I would recommend him to others.

This is a dangerous doctor. Dr. Rekhala is very cruel and treats his patients in a very degrading manner. He should be investigated be investigated the department of state.

Any type of physician must have two special purposes in view with regard to physical or mental disease, namely to do good or to do no harm. Even medical students learn this and know when to abstain from doing harm. The mental and emotinal pain, almost to the point of abuse, that Dr. Rekhala has caused me has been endless. This doctor has become so arrogant that he really no longer cares how you are doing. I wonder why he even went into psychiatry.

Overall very helpful, I would recommend Dr. Rekhala to all for outpatient psychiatric care.
